first, should i assume this is something it does with the wheels on the ground under normal driving? with no load against the drivetrain, you'll get some rattling with the wheels off the ground like that just due to normal things like the backlash on the ring/pinion, etc.assuming this is an all the time noise, it sounds like internal transmission noise or ring/pinion to me off hand. a vid is better than an explanation, but still pretty tough to pinpoint. post a couple more from different angles and areas of the car if you can so we can get a little better idea. it sounds kinda like it might be coming more from screen right though. i guess obviously the transmission would be the logical choice since you've replaced the diff. possibly you've chipped a tooth or more off somewhere. have you tried engaging it in various gears? pull the drain plug and see if you get any metal dust/shavings/chunks out. some throwout bearings will make a chattering noise like that also as the clutch engages, especially at low rpm's and light throttle input. t56's are terrible for it, i don't know that i've ever heard one that DIDN'T do it to some extent, even brand new. a lot of new venture units will do it also. so, the question is did you use a new one with the clutch?what about the half shafts? condition of joints/splines?

throwout bearing is new pilot bearing is newit's not just a chattering though. it feels like the car will shake apart.chipped a tooth? Now that you mention it, I DO have a hard time making a quick 2-3 shift. I'll check the fluid tomorrow. Yeah, all gears have the clunking noise. Hell I can get a faint clunk just letting off the clutch in neutral.I haven't touched the half shafts/joints/splines. The input shaft is the only "spline" thing I mess with and it goes into the crank pretty normally. I'm about to go pillage an old subframe of mine over the weekend for the hubs/shafts.

i've had 2 240's.one ragged and the other semi-ragged.the ragged one had a hard time from 2-3 and it made the same noise. i sold it b4 i wanted to figure out what it i was.the other 240 made same noise but lighter

you need to pull your shafts and check your joints and splines, should be obvious
