IT'S ON Jeepman!!!!!! now hurry up and get that shit on the street
2/17/2009 10:05:41 PM
old tranny is almost out, parts are ordered, now just waiting on the tranny guy and my slow ass actually getting it in will be easy, making it work correctly will be something that will take a little bit of thinking i.e. time and pressure switches haha. then we'll drag son
2/17/2009 10:12:04 PM
superdodge vs. blaklung vs. tuberculosisget it right or pay the price
2/17/2009 10:22:35 PM
WE'LL BE HAULINGHAULING ASS...I had someone ask me what I intended to haul with the truck (after the back-half), I said to him, "haul some ass"
2/17/2009 10:32:19 PM
i got this unit hangin in my garage
2/17/2009 11:04:51 PM
You would.
2/17/2009 11:09:34 PM
geez. i'll give you guys an 1/8th mile head start. [Edited on February 18, 2009 at 4:35 AM. Reason : or is this goin down in the skreetz??]
2/18/2009 4:34:46 AM
I'd rather hit the strip, but it's going to be a laughing matter if this goes down in 2009, as the twins are on hold due to funding issuesI'll drive the hell outta my shit tho, assuming i can get this RH to get my shifting in order... she likes to hang on waaaayyy too long with the 2-3 when the TC's locked
2/18/2009 11:20:13 AM
wtf mate, making call out threads years in advance?? psshhh. i'm waiting for underPSI and 69 to balls up and get some 'stroke.
2/18/2009 2:48:16 PM
hahaI'll race anyone right now, but I would look like a fool ^5x I just realized that red ram looks similar to mine [Edited on February 18, 2009 at 2:52 PM. Reason : bet i wouldnt see 75mph in the eighth right now] [Edited on February 18, 2009 at 2:54 PM. Reason : -]
2/18/2009 2:51:27 PM
so the rh is a slip yoke style setup, the 727 i have is a fixed yoke on the output. anyone heard of what to do when swapping? gotta do some research
2/18/2009 9:19:38 PM
so you had a 2-piece driveshaft originally?I was about to say build a 1-piece, but then remembered you dont have a shortbed [Edited on February 18, 2009 at 9:23 PM. Reason : 0]
2/18/2009 9:22:37 PM
yup, 2 piece with a carrier bearing.
2/19/2009 12:07:28 AM
get a driveshaft/slip yoke from a 47rh truck (or others of the same size/spline, have a fixed shaft made up, profit.
2/19/2009 1:54:45 AM
**BREAKING NEWS***I HAVE LOCATED THE CAUSE OF MY TC LOCKUP PROBLEMS, A FUCKING SAGGING BRAKE PEDAL.
2/19/2009 7:56:59 AM
sagging because...? hole in booster diaphragm?
2/19/2009 9:14:22 AM
well, it wasnt "sagging" I would say, because there was no play in the pedal travel - but hooking my foot under it and pulling back against it yielded the proper shift/lockup operation. I honestly dont know it operates (switch/linkage), but whatever it is, I am going to give it a good adjustment.
2/19/2009 9:35:38 AM
there is a switch for the brake lights/ tcc under the dash on the brake pedal arm
2/19/2009 10:05:31 AM
what i figuredare there two switches together? (i know i can check it out soon enough) i wonder why the brake lights dont turn on so easily as the TC kill
2/19/2009 10:17:47 AM
anyone have a slip yoke for a 47rh?
2/19/2009 8:02:16 PM
i think i've still got the one from my nv3500/nv4500 (or actually 231 i guess technically). might could be the same, dunno.
2/19/2009 11:29:27 PM
damn it, lets get something going here... 7.3, 6.0, 11.0, take your pic bitches!
2/21/2009 2:31:26 AM
^^^^ what year is whats left of the thing? i can get you wiring diagrams and locations and shit, yo
2/21/2009 9:14:03 AM
come get some 5.9 (but wait just a little bit so I can fix it! )
2/21/2009 10:19:18 AM
rock out some drag slicks on that bitch while you have the bed off
2/21/2009 10:20:06 AM
^^^any 94-97 should be the same.
2/21/2009 11:28:34 AM
i believe the problem is circled, you should have a ground on the white/pink wire on terminal 1 when the brake pedal is up[Edited on February 21, 2009 at 12:26 PM. Reason : photo fail]
2/21/2009 12:24:15 PM
if it was my truck, i'd wire in a switch to manually control the lockup for when i wanted some engine braking in addition to the service brakes. you don't tow/haul with it though, so probably pointless.
2/21/2009 1:42:12 PM
not a good idea on those to bypass the ecm for tcc lockup directly unless you really understand how the tranny is controlled and pay close attention to it while you are driving, a couple hard 2-3 shifts under lockup is enough to destroy it[Edited on February 21, 2009 at 1:57 PM. Reason : bypassing the brake light switch solely for engine braking however won't hurt much]
2/21/2009 1:57:18 PM
yeah, i was only talking about the brake switch that kicks it off. definitely not upshifting.
2/21/2009 3:06:46 PM
haha SHITTTTTTTif either of you fuckers are lurking, I've had a manual TC lockup switch installed since the back-half procedure (via TS performance instructons, iirc. It's a switch tied into orange/black stripe wire #54 of the ECM, iirc as well, that when switched grounds the circuit - causing lockup. I've noticed it will not function when the brake pedal switch is functioning properly). I've also done more full throttle TC locked 2-3, 3-4 shifts than i can remember
2/22/2009 1:24:32 PM
Hurley, can u please post more pics of black lungk thx
2/22/2009 4:01:24 PM

2/23/2009 3:29:41 PM
BETTER WATCH OUTILL SNAP A SHAFT IN AN INSTANThaha, ist a wonder i havent snapped one yet - it's a blessed feeling when she does a 3-2 kickdown with the TC locked at full stoke.I'll meet at any drag strip soon as i get the compounds on, and get my transmission replaced....2010 then [Edited on February 23, 2009 at 3:54 PM.
