Ok, little background on the problem.I have a cheap-er Sony Vaio, NR310E. Purchased it last June, so it's still under warranty. October 2008, the unit crashed. Sony sent a box, I sent it back, they repaired it (replaced hard drive, no cause as to why it crashed) No problem right?January 2009. Unit crashed again for unknown reason. Sony sent a tech to my house to repar, replaced hard drive again. Worked fine. All this has been under warranty (warranty till June)Last Week. Unit crashed yet again for unknown reason. Now i'm pissed, i've lost my data 3x and had to deal with the annoyance of being without my computer. I call sony and tell them they need to replace instead of repair the unit. Fast forward several hours of being on the phone later, they told me to send it in and they would evaluate it for replacement and if not, replace something OTHER than the HD as that is obviously not the problem.Today. I check Sony's online CS site for my repair, it says that I owe $550 dollars to replace the Hard Drive on the computer.Obviously, the Hard Drive is not the problem. Sony keeps telling me that is all they will do, but I wont settle for anything less than a new computer. What are some other steps I can take to ensure that my request is fufilled? Or am I just being a d-bag and should just keep takin Shit from Sony.
