What a way to screw up his legacy. I always hoped he was clean.

More like A-roid.. Amirite??
2/7/2009 10:58:15 AM
I didn't see this coming... but fuck him.Is Manny Ramirez the best hitter of our generation? I think there is no doubt right now. Pujols will be eventually but I have my questions about him too.
2/7/2009 11:08:52 AM
Who isn't on steroids??The little interest I had in baseball is completely disappearing now.
2/7/2009 11:11:18 AM
who is to say Manny wasn't also juicing at some point
2/7/2009 11:11:59 AM
Eh, I have no doubt the NFL is littered with the same problems. If you think this is limited to baseball you are incredibly naive.^ Well, of course you can't be sure... but he's never ever been rumored to use PED like A-Rod/Pujols was...[Edited on February 7, 2009 at 11:13 AM. Reason : Canseco is a motherfucking prophet]
2/7/2009 11:13:01 AM
this should surprise no one.the only thing i can't figure out is why in the hell the federal government is wasting their time on this still.

Steroids? STEROIDS?

A-ROIDSon another note1. maybe they'll take that sign down at the wolfpack ballpark now2. michael phelps is all like WHEW[Edited on February 7, 2009 at 11:57 AM. Reason : +]

Josh Hamilton is not on steroids... so we can hold out that hope

Why is everyone so sure that Hank Aaron never used steroids?
2/7/2009 12:24:10 PM
I'd love to see the list with the other 103 players that tested positive.
2/7/2009 12:31:23 PM
^yea I was thinkin the same thing
2/7/2009 12:43:39 PM
great, now i can't watch a sports channel for 2 weeks
2/7/2009 12:45:55 PM
^ so true.. probably more like a month though.
2/7/2009 1:06:14 PM
im so roiding now, it will make me hit 400+ ft bombs.
2/7/2009 2:06:04 PM
All of this steroids stuff has really lost my interest in baseball. It's a damn shame that people have to cheat when given so much talent to begin with.
2/7/2009 2:12:40 PM
^ you're an idiot if steroids have made you lose interest in baseball only.
2/7/2009 2:28:38 PM
this is becoming a huge problem in athletics now if the nfl starts showing the same problems, it makes me wonder how much pressure we put on these guys and how ruthlessly competitive everyone is to manipulate their own bodies
2/7/2009 2:35:06 PM
it has nothing to do w/ pressure that we, as spectators, put on them. it has everything to do w/ the cutthroat environment of making a living as an athlete.
2/7/2009 2:41:12 PM
2/7/2009 2:51:18 PM
"making a living"
2/7/2009 2:52:08 PM
2/7/2009 3:03:12 PM
well that's not the same thing, is it?
2/7/2009 3:21:21 PM
just imagine how boring baseball would be if it wasn't for steroids
2/7/2009 4:48:47 PM
All records from 1995-2007 should be erased
2/7/2009 4:56:46 PM
perfect. i've always thought he was a complete cum rag.fuck him.just imagine how boring baseball would be if it wasn't for steroidswell, it would be alot like it was in the 80s--more base-stealing, craftier ways of reaching base, scoring runs, etc. quite a few less fire-ballers, too. craftier pitching, etc. power baseball generally wasn't really born until the last 20 years.[Edited on February 7, 2009 at 5:32 PM. Reason : asdff]
2/7/2009 5:30:42 PM
chicks dig the long ball
2/7/2009 5:34:10 PM
they also dig money.
2/7/2009 5:42:21 PM
2/7/2009 5:51:23 PM
that would be a good comparison if you assumed there weren't steroids in baseball in the 80 years. That would be a very bad assumption though. HGH might not have been around, but steroids were still legal in this country.
2/7/2009 5:52:49 PM
^thats why they were hitting 70 homeruns a season back in the 80s
2/7/2009 5:56:55 PM

i much prefer watching a good breaking ball pitcher than a power pitcher.[Edited on February 7, 2009 at 6:47 PM. Reason : and really, i prefer a pitcher's duel to a slugfest.]
2/7/2009 6:47:09 PM
for some reason, this hasnt bothered mei think he is still the best all around player in the game and should get into the HOF.how do we exactly know who was and wasnt on some substance before these testing policies were put into place?
2/7/2009 7:03:36 PM
Heaven does exist! I'm sure of it now!
2/7/2009 10:42:52 PM
So, the best all-around player (Arod), the best slugger (Bonds) and the best pitcher (Clemens) of this generation have all done roids. That's like finding out Bird, Magic and Jordan all were doing roids, or Gretzky, Lemieux and Messier all were doing roids or Montana, Rice and Emmitt Smith were doing roids.
2/7/2009 10:58:45 PM
I don't think its as comparable as that. True hockey stars are much rarer so that scenario would probably be the worst. But baseball stars are a dime a dozen (or $30 million each). Its time that the real greats step forward and speak out more strongly about these things. The slightly older but greatly accomplished guys like Derek Jeter and Chipper Jones should be leading the way.
2/8/2009 12:15:43 AM
what a shame and as a yankees fan, i'm disgusted by thisi was really pulling for a legit player to break bonds' HR record, and a-rod was on track to do so
2/8/2009 1:07:23 AM
Griffey should have been the greatest star of our generation...unfortunately he had too many injuries that got in the way.I never liked Bonds or A-rod, even before all the roids scandals.I never liked Big-Mac or Sosa either.
2/8/2009 2:28:07 AM
2/8/2009 4:16:54 PM
I talked to someone in the locker room today that is going to start hooking me up with roids. I gots to do what it takes to be the best!
