crazy stuff if you have winmo or another capable phone...has serious potential...currently can't get it to run on my phone though (htc touch pro)

you can eventually see where some of your lattitude enabled contacts are...

if you're into geeky cool shit check it out (http://m.google.com) and click on maps and lattitude...it'll install on your phone

some one who knows more about it help me out...

Ha

I like that the map image on the latitude page is based on your current location.

come on scud - here some easy reasons - of course they all rely on both parties to have gmaps open and tracking - some are more likely than others - i definitely think being in nyc there are many more reasons to use it than being somewhere much smaller

when i'm waiting on a friend at the bar and wondering how far away they are (especially if I'm at a spot they are unfamiliar with)
when just meeting a friend in general and one of us is lost
when i'm at the bar up the street and want to leave whenever my wife drives by on her way home from work so we can work on dinner
following a friend in the car (don't know the address of the destination or it's just not in gmaps) and get stuck at a light and can't follow them

^^thanks...really great points

I finally got it to work on my phone, I'm a dumbass, the only reason it wasn't working was GPS doesn't work in some building and I was really skeptical of it working at all...it's actually amazing...

One thing I really hated about sprint navigation was that you couldn't get a very user friendly or "google-esque" type map (google maps had spoiled me)...so I could really see me using this feature for different instances that SN wasn't ideal (not that I don't use SN like all the time anyway) But latitude really doesn't take long to load at all, that was one of my predetermined gripes before I got it working...no problems!!

[Edited on February 4, 2009 at 9:18 PM. Reason : I did use the search but didn't find that specific thread..thanks for the link]
