http://blog.northstarbball.com/2009/01/02/brandon-costner-exnj-star-key-to-the-wolfpacks-success.aspxNB: How many years are you planning on staying in college?BC: This is my fourth year, so it’s probably my last year.NB: Aren’t you a redshirt junior?BC: Yeah, I am, but I’m graduating early, so I don’t really want to stay too far back.NB: You don’t plan on doing a grad school year and playing your senior season [of eligibility]?BC: No.NB: Do you have any goals for the Draft next year of where you want to go?BC: Not really. Just to be drafted is a blessing, so hopefully that dream will come to fruition.]

1/29/2009 1:10:52 PM

hmm, wonder how reliable that interview is...in any case, perhaps once we break into Madison Sq Garden for the NIT final four, he'll reconsider?
1/29/2009 1:16:03 PM
youre right its oldi knew this before the beginning of the season and no one seemed to believe me
1/29/2009 1:16:14 PM
although i cannot stand the NBA, those guys are pure athletes, even the big men. to me, coster is wayyyy far away physically from being NBA caliber. i just cant see him putting in the effort needed to be productive.

Sometimes people just say probably when they actually mean definitely, especially if they are saying something that will disappoint people.like "I'm probably not going to make it to dinner" means "I won't be there"Seems pretty definite to me.
1/29/2009 1:29:05 PM
I don't think we'll be very good without him. Need an experienced big man. So we'll be starting Howell and Smith at 4-5? Horner and Smith? Whoever it is, it's not lookin too good.
1/29/2009 1:29:48 PM
Dang, I knew this was coming eventually but that suuccckkksss...Gonna be tough to be competitive without Costner next year. Too much youth to rely on. Even the best youth struggles without much experience.
1/29/2009 1:31:18 PM
Good luck to himHopefully he puts out some feelers before hiring an agent in case they advise him to come back for one more yearIf we had landed Favors, this would make more sense...but he shouldn't go through the same lack of minutes if he stays next year that he did when Hickson came in
1/29/2009 1:34:02 PM
Demarcus Cousins, are you listening? We have the vacancy, we need a big man. Stat!
1/29/2009 1:39:23 PM
1/29/2009 1:48:24 PM
^oh yeah. nevermind.
1/29/2009 1:48:49 PM
I think everyone knew this was coming, but it's good to go ahead and get this out in the open IMO. If nothing else, Costner can go to Europe, make very decent money, and score with Foreign chicks for 10 years. That's not too bad.[Edited on January 29, 2009 at 1:52 PM. Reason : ]
1/29/2009 1:51:17 PM
yes with Horner as a starter the sky is the limit!
1/29/2009 1:51:48 PM
I hear Europe is pretty nice
1/29/2009 2:18:17 PM
i know this was expected, but it still makes no sense to me. none whatsoever. if he got in good shape, worked more on his handles, he could actually be a second round pick with one more season. no way he gets drafted this year, and surely he knows that. he must REALLY not like it at state. i blame you guys
1/29/2009 2:27:28 PM
hes projected as an early second rounder..
1/29/2009 2:28:01 PM
i havent seen him projected anywhere as an early second rounder, but i have no doubt he'll play pro ball.

^well, technically, not necessarily. His "no" response could be to going to grad school and playing ball. He may just play ball and just not do grad school. No... not likely. [Edited on January 29, 2009 at 2:59 PM. Reason : V alright, yall win although, is he actually graduating undergrad this semester?]
1/29/2009 2:44:18 PM
i mean he has to be in school...right? so he'd have to be in grad school
1/29/2009 2:45:38 PM
I guess he'd have to be enrolled in something to be considered legal to play.

Since no one is answering my other posts, do they charge for Student women's tickets and do they scan IDs?
1/29/2009 5:21:03 PM
once again, they have NEVER scanned IDs at any eventand yes, of course they charge for tickets unless you are a student
1/29/2009 5:22:29 PM
1/29/2009 5:25:15 PM
^^ THANK YOU! I figured they didn't, but I wasn't sure. And I guess if they don't closely inspect my ID I'll be straight. Even if I have to pay I guess. GO PACK! Ok...carry on about Costner. My fault to change the subject!
1/29/2009 5:26:39 PM
^^ i just wanted to let you know that i was thinking about you, is all.[Edited on January 29, 2009 at 5:27 PM. Reason : ^ not you]

1/29/2009 5:34:39 PM
Finally we'll be purged of these Herb recruits so we can see some real championship basketball!
1/29/2009 5:37:17 PM
Maybe Horner can put on like 20 pounds and just start practicing playing PF/C now..
1/29/2009 7:36:19 PM
what the hell would costner study in grad school anyway?
1/29/2009 8:00:48 PM
^^^I laughed. I've been getting flamed for saying he wasn't going to be back.
