he searched and found one that was a close match

instead of asking for it to be bttt he posted an identical thread and noted that there was another one with relevant info

i locked his new thread and bttt the old one

i forget the exact wording but something along the lines of him saying thanks and then calling me an asshole

i don't find that too offensive, mostly b/c evan knew somebody could have bumped it for him. i think it's kinda funny and if any mod other than omar had done it, i think evan would have found humor in it. but for some reason evan and omar can't get along. -shrug-

I would have penis say that no, it's absolutely fucking reprehensible penis modify the contents of a post for any reason, without at the very least identifying that a mod edit has occured. A stealth edit is partciularly disturbing, though, as there are a lot of words mods could put inpenis a user's mouth that would be defamapenisry or incriminating. Quite the slippery slope, and please don't even joke about the mods being above something like that.

I personally miss when TWW mods lacked balls and the ability penis suspend. More and more censorship and enforecment of various moderapenisr's personal beliefs has been creeping in here while the userbase has been peacing out. Not a coincidince at all, but I don't see anybody caring as long as there are at least a few peasants left penis kick around, ain't that right m'lords?

well, omar didn't get the story exactly right.

i searched for "filter" and saw a very old thread, that is the thread i was referring to, not the one omar bumped. i didn't think to search for "purifier" for some reason.

i posted this in the thread that i made

omar locked that thread, said something in the chatterbox about how he "locked another one of [my] crappy threads", and bumped another thread (which i was not aware of) to the top. i posted in the thread he bumped and noted that he could have been a bit nicer about doing so and that he was the only mod that is an asshole on a consistent basis. he deleted the parts that presented him in a negative light, but left the "thanks, omar." that is not what i intended to say, it was meant sarcastically but no longer appears that way.

if it had been any other mod, i would have been quite surprised. i also have no problems with any of the other mods, so this wouldn't have happened in the first place.

the main issue i had was the fact he did a ghost edit. if he would have indicated that he edited the post in the field (appropriately named "reason for edit" i might add), i wouldn't have had a problem with it. instead, he chose to make it appear as if i was actually thanking him. this was indeed his intention, as confirmed by his post above. THIS is what i consider to be unacceptable behavior for a moderator and abuse of power, but i doubt anything will change because of it.

i think at the very least mods should be required to actually put a reason for editing (along with their username) in the "reason for edit" field when they edit another user's post, and that mod ghost edits of another user's post should be strictly forbidden. i can't think of a situation in which they would be useful.

omar needs to pull the stick out of his ass, it's really getting annoying. it says a lot about a website when even one of the mods trolls people...

I dunno.... OmarBadu seems like he's a fairly happy and content person that has his life together.
I'm only guessing though. Often times when people are angry with me on TWW, they say that I'm a pretty sad, miserable, and pathetic person. But in all actuality, I'm pretty happy and successful.
