if i understand correctly there should be no labs this week due to monday being a holiday.

^ only if there were labs Monday. If labs run TWH, then they would have proceeded normally.

^^^ is kind of right, but is looking at the wrong info. Classes being canceled =/= the university being closed. It is neither closed nor opening late. It was open all day Tuesday as well, even though there weren't any classes.if you click on the alert on the ncsu homepage, you'll see that it says
1/21/2009 2:25:26 AM
its canceled

so is what big business posted correct? do we get penalized for not attending class today or is it guarenteed we can make up our work...or is it up to the professor to decide what happens.
1/21/2009 11:44:29 AM
what he posted is correct. you don't have to go. can't be penalized.
1/21/2009 12:21:49 PM
what he posted is not correct. but he got to the right conclusion regarding students and class. The university is/was/did not open late nor was it closed at any point. The stuff regarding employees is not accurate. It's like asking someone, 7-2= ? and then they say, 2+3=5.I'm not sure where he got the message he posted, I didn't get that email (i'm both an employee and a student). The emails I got were different. If you click and read the link he posted with it, everything is explained in detail.

that was posted on the main webpage, I believe
1/21/2009 10:37:38 PM
if so, they changed it since he had posted it. Maybe they posted the thing for closings and realized they put the wrong thing up and changed it. I don't know, I just know that the information he quoted does not match STATUS 3. And that would be clear to anyone who simply read the document. 3, 4, or 5 means there are classes. However, there are conditions with 3 and 4. 1 is closed, 2 is opening late. This is what was on ncsu.edu when i looked (And is what comes up on google):
