daniel's florist. off of tryon, towards cary. i guess it's considered swift creek there.and a dozen will run you close to $80 in a vase, anywhere, I believe.

http://tinyurl.com/7k87geThey don't come in the vase, but they are high-quality, super fresh, and ready to pop into the included vase with little cutting & no arranging.

I put my own bouquet together at Whole Foods for the last 2 years and the woman loves it.I don't know about delivery though.
1/17/2009 11:45:32 PM
That's a great question. I haven't found one I really like in Raleigh. I can say, however, that I've used the florist on Hillsborough street near the cartridge world and those roses were terrible. I've gotten better flowers at lowes foods. So don't go there. Anyway, thanks anyone who has a good place to suggest.

i got some flowers (not roses though) at that one on hillsborough near UT. the store looks like an old house that was converted. i was pleased.
1/18/2009 12:32:48 AM
^^^ Whole Foods has amazing flowers but yeah, no delivery
1/18/2009 12:58:29 AM
see, the problem is that i live 750 miles away, so its gonna have to be a delivery

I have a penis, so every 6th week of the calender year, I must acquire rare plant flowers, fancy chocolate confections, or expensive pieces of metal or rock, and deliver them to my favorite person with a vagina. Then we perform coitus.

Yeah "every 6th week", not "every 6 weeks" (Every year has only one "6th week", -- you know, the 6th one...)Read much?
1/18/2009 10:07:41 AM
it would have been clearer to say "on the 6th week of every calendar year"
1/18/2009 10:48:55 AM
i, too, enjoy flowers
1/18/2009 11:27:21 AM
send her a pretty pot, some seeds, home depot gift card (for potting soil) and a sappy note about how your love will grow for each other in the next year. I'd suggest a container herb garden, mint, parsley, chives, and cilantro are what I'm gonna get myself.

^ Sorry, I don't trust the boyfriend to get herb seeds for me. He'd probably get all catnip, to try to make my life more interesting now that I'm taking care of his PITA cat. This nasty little animal will wait until I'm taking a shower to create the worst smells ever (litter box is in the bathroom, right now I'm switching her to a grain free food for hopefully less stinky poop).I don't like hallmark holidays either. And no steak and BJ day, I prefer to surprise him.
1/21/2009 10:59:24 AM
^what kind of food/litter do you use?
1/21/2009 11:42:25 AM
Michael's actually has some really nice floral choices and for a lot cheaper than an actual florist. However, I always go with fakes. Real roses die and says your feelings are only temporary.Besides, very few girls will actually say that rose is their favorite flower.

She was using tidy cats litter and meow mix. I'm switching to feline pine and taste of the wild. Litter switch should be complete tomorrow or tonight when I empty the box and go to 100% pine, food switch will be complete in a couple weeks. Tried to switch her to blue buffalo but it gave her nasty gas, so I'm sure the blue is part of the problem too.
1/21/2009 11:57:19 AM
i recently switched to feline pine only..best.litter.ever. we still have no idea what to do with my roommate´s cat, though. she´s been on several different foods and always smells horrendous.

Fallon's flowers on Falls of the neuse. Roses $10/dozen, there's also a florist in sutton square that has them @ the same price. Very nice flowers w/ great longevity once their in water. They'll 'arrange' them in a vase for you for an additional $40, but I've always just stopped by walmart/target and grabbed one for $5 and the broads have never known the difference.
1/25/2009 5:05:39 PM
1800FLOWERS.com I ordered from there a few times, they deliver and they really deliver quality flowers.. it works if you dont have time to go to the store to pick them out AND it surprises your woman
1/25/2009 9:29:32 PM
Passed a place on Ten-Ten today (take a right off of Lake Wheeler and head towards West Lake Road - shop's on the left) that had a sign in the window advertising $19.99.
1/25/2009 10:13:57 PM
^^^ you can actually get some nice ones from walmart/harris teeter if you look properly. most of them are done local and fresh.
1/25/2009 10:34:44 PM
check HARRY and DAVID for a plant (cut flowers die so quickly). They have quality stuff for decent prices. see below:http://www.harryanddavid.com/gifts/store/item__10051___gift-plants-with-chocolates_19045
