This video card is 2 512mb 7900gtx's hardwired into sli with only 1 pci-e 16x interface. It's probably better than any single 8800 or 9800, save the 9800gx2. The only reason I'm selling it is I don't really have enough room in my case for it. It presses against my sata ports. looking for $125obohttp://www.legitreviews.com/article/354/13/http://www.motherboards.org/reviews/hardware/1624_1.htmlI'd highly recommend it if you're doing anything that can take full advantage of sli. This card works very well for workstation applications as it fully supports opengl

so I can still use this card if I don't have a mobo supporting SLI?

Considering that I just bought a shiny new 9800gt from Newegg for $100 that's 80% faster than the 7950, I hope you have realistic expectations on the value of the card.^You don't need an SLI capable MB to use this card. You just need an open PCIe 16x slot and a good enough power supply to give the all the electricity it will gobble up.

care to qualify "80% faster" than TWO 7900's in sli?

not a 9800, but a 8800...http://tinyurl.com/a662ks

The recent price range of sold cards on eBay is $51 to $140. That's a huge range. I would argue that something in the $70 - $80 range would be a fair price. However, I'm sure someone might be willing for fork out more if they had an urgent need for a card.

I have yet to see opengl work properly on any 8800 or 9800. I should have qualified the 'better' in terms of rendering and not farcry or some other flavor of the week fps. I would like to point out in that tom's hardware link that /most/ scores are within 15% and some are down to 1 or 2% difference.

you'll never be able to justify this over an 8800GT/9800GT, sorry.

It's not a bad card. It's just not a $125 card. A year ago I would have loved to have had one.
