No, rug doctor will not work. I need to know if any place around here has a vapor steam cleaner, doesn't use chemicals and gets hot enough to kill mold, fleas, and anything else. Rental or paying someone to do it would be ok. I just need to get my car cleaned out, turns out buying a '94 (no cabin air filters) might not have been the best idea for my allergies.

You can buy a steam cleaner at Lowe's (in the wallpaper section actually) for around $100. I have one and love it. I have used it to clean car interiors in ways I didnt think possible. Carpet stains in the house (previous owner tracked mud all over) come out easily. Ink in the carpet? A little carpet cleaner and the steam will fix it right up. Nasty grout in the shower? PSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSS gone. 10 seconds of steam will kill everything. My only wish is that it were bigger and output more than 30PSI- but then it would begin to really get dangerous on certian materials.

WTF, the vapor ones only cost $100?I thought they were $600 and up. I'm gonna see if they have them at Home Depot, since i have about $45 of giftcards there.

There are the little at home steam cleaners, and then there are real "commercial" steam cleaners. The small ones you can buy at lowes, target, etc. are in no way a substitute for the big boys.

Listen you stupid cunt, you cant get around lazyness by claiming you are allergic to a little hard work. Save $500 and do it yourself.http://www.wagnerspraytech.com/portal/on-demand_steamer_spray,104796,747.html

Listen you stupid piece of shit, they don't list them on home depot or lowe's website! I want to make sure the cleaning attachment is big enough before I buy it, don't want to have to spend 3 days steaming the inside of my car (it's a huge car).

do you think folks using them to strip the paint and wallpaper from a room spend days doing a house? its fast enough. and like most commercial units, put out higher heat/faster response than the 'as seen on tv' bs ones.

The wallpaper attachment and upholstery attachments are different, imagine that!

I don't have fleas, but if my cat ever gets them (probably from the vet, knowing my luck, when I worked for one I was always bringing them home) I want to make DAMN sure they are not going to be alive for long. I bet steaming a trail of ants would be pretty fun too. Pssst, nasty mofos be dead!

WTF I bet flies follow you home from the dumpster too.
