I know it is probably not the best, but I like it. Also, is it possible for me to upgrade various components, such as the video card if needed?

CPU/memory looks great. just need to upgrade the NVIDIA GeForce 9500GS

# 8192 MB DDR2 (PC2-6400) RAM
# 750 GB (7200RPM) SATA Hard Drive
# NVIDIA GeForce 9500GS with 512MB Dedicated Graphics Memory
# DVD±R/RW DL SATA Drive with LightScribe
# High Definition Audio, 8 speaker configurable
# Built-in 802.11a/b/g/n Wireless LAN
# 10/100/1000 Base-T Ethernet LAN
# 15-in-1 card reader
# Front ports: 2 x USB, IEEE 1394, Headphone, Microphone
# Back ports: 4 x USB, IEEE 1394, 2 x PS2 ports (keyboard, mouse), Rear Speaker out, Side speaker out, Center, Microphone/Line-in/Line-out, RJ-45 (LAN), DVI-I, HDMI out
# Expansion slots: 3 x PCI Express x1 (two available), PCI Express x16 (occupied)"

looks like it's just a simple swap out of the PCI Express x16 graphics card

but wouldn't this Video memory be enough to run most games at decent settings? I am mainly interested in Fallout 3 and the G.E.C.K.

Wait...

Is this the same thing that you are talking about?

test the 9500GS first, it would probably run the games just fine, decent yes.

but don't expect anything above medium-low settings.

^yes, but video memory is not all that makes up a video card. the 9500 series is a budget bottom-of -the-line dedicated graphics card. (but better than 8600,8500,7600-series cards, and much better than integrated graphics)

Oh OK. How much would it run me to upgrade?

depends. like i said, check out the 9500GS first, see if that will satisfy your needs.

if not i'd say maybe $120 for a 9800GT, equivalent to about 5x-8x faster than the 9500GT

Word, that video looks great in High Quality. I am almost convinced into buying this thing now, and it would make a great chess machine as well If I do get it maybe would could cluster together some PCs and when a Freestyle chess tournament. Prize funds are usually 16000 for the ones I follow and 1st gets 8000 of that.
