There goes any hope for the Final Four.

Sucks for Trevor, hope he can get healed up quick.Despite what some people on here will say about him, he plays hard every minute he is in the game, and we need someone like that on the floor.[Edited on December 23, 2008 at 5:56 PM. Reason : ]

well shit
12/23/2008 5:53:39 PM
this does, in fact, suck.
12/23/2008 6:26:51 PM
haha well now we've got something else to blame the season on, like degand last yearnot sure how effective Ferg will be coming back in after all that time, that could be a good chunk of the season depending on how slow it heals and what he'll be allowed to do to practice in the meantime
12/23/2008 6:41:31 PM
nah, this is what people wanted... more PT for the other starters![Edited on December 23, 2008 at 7:03 PM. Reason : other. my bad.]
12/23/2008 6:56:05 PM
he was starting
12/23/2008 6:59:39 PM
don't really know what happened. He was in there on the last play though so he must not have realized it until after the game.but never saw anything where he might have got hurt[Edited on December 23, 2008 at 7:04 PM. Reason : .]

It sounds like a fracture that's not that serious and might never require surgery. A non-displaced fracture, which Ferguson has, does not come out of alignment. It could be a very small fracture that Ferguson could have easily ignored with all the adrenaline pumping.[Edited on December 23, 2008 at 7:27 PM. Reason : ]

he's been playing really well this year. his three ball is much improved and just a better all-around player. he still gets beat off the dribble by most of the people he guards but he just doesn't have the speed for his position.
12/23/2008 7:26:49 PM
I saw him shaking off his hand after he missed the last 3 pointer that he took in the game ... cant remember what time it was ... but you could tell that he was bothered by it, and that last shot didnt look that good, even though he had a good look at it and was in good position to make it.

So can we switch Fells back to SG and Costner back to the 3 and put Tracy Smith at the 4-spot? That would at least put our best 5 guys on the floor and help our rebounding, which has been our bane for a decade.
12/23/2008 7:56:10 PM
^I agree. And if we are getting beat by footspeed at the 3, then bring someone like johnny thomas in and move fells over.
12/23/2008 8:04:52 PM
dude were not gonna move fells over. people keep saying we should but hes obviously better where he is now. they will not move him. sucks fergs out though i hate it

So who's going to be picking up ferg's 31 minutes? Williams (ha, gopack still has him a forward)? Thomas? (btw, Who is Kevin Jones? I just saw him on the gopack roster, hadn't heard of him before.)
12/23/2008 11:43:26 PM
Yeah as much as people make fun of Ferg (me included), he's stepped up his game this season.Although I'm not happy that he's been the one getting the most minutes, We will miss him. Hopefully he's out the low end of the estimate.

41.5% from 3 is pretty good.
12/24/2008 12:07:01 AM
I expect Williams to probably pick up most of his minutes. Mays might get more minutes at the 2 as well.

yeah he's pretty small but athletic as helli've seen him dunk on quite a few people
12/24/2008 12:52:23 AM
Several of us said McCauley, Costner, Smith, Fells, PG was our best lineup all season. Hopefully we go to that now. It would be a slow-ass lineup but its not like we run anyway.
12/24/2008 1:57:18 AM
if that walk on can actually shoot and is athletic enough to get open, then he could be worth something
12/24/2008 2:00:27 AM
Anybody heard anything about him being academically ineligible for the second half of the season? The UNC boards have some something along the lines of this.
