Got a speeding ticket going downhill last night, anybody got any lawyer recommendations for Wake Co?

I guess that's marginally better than getting a speeding ticket going uphill?
12/20/2008 1:40:27 PM
should have jumped the hill. They can't give you a speeding ticket if you were in mid air... You just say you have your pilots license...

where?

JAMES CROUCHhe'll hook you up, that's who all us regular criminals around here use. he's been on my payroll for about 8 years now, lol.[Edited on December 20, 2008 at 2:34 PM. Reason : pm sent too]

I was only marginally impressed with James Crouch. He only seemed interested in keeping my ticket off my insurance. Maybe he works harder as the tickets compound. He got my stop sign reduced to 34 in a 25 or something. I felt like I could have worked an equal deal on my own for 1/3 the money (ticket + court costs) and I would have gotten it done 9 months quicker so it would hurry up and get off my record. I guess the real test will be what he does when I get another one in the next couple of years.

going through a stop sign is no small violation either iirc. carries 3 license points or something? sounds like there might have been a speeding charge also, or it was at least alluded to on the citation if not actually written up as a violation?

You're funny. They don't just drop a ticket like that. Whether you hire a lawyer or go yourself, getting it reduced sounds like a good deal. If you went and told them about your rolling stop, they would probably just say that you admitted it and give you the whole penalty.Every three years, you can have 1 nine over ticker and then you have a PJC to use. You have a get out of jail free card twice every three years. Not too bad, if you ask me.

Common sense doesn't need a simulation. How hard is it to look and see if another car is coming?
12/21/2008 2:21:40 PM
To top it off my car got hit overnight. It looks like somebody backed into the driver side rear door. They say they come in threes so I'm on the lookout.

It should happen automatically when you renew, but you should call your insurance company before your next renewal and ask them to reduce it just to be safe. Nationwide was horrible about not applying when I was with them.

Update: Court date on Friday. Called Crouch but whew he was pricey. Couldn't really promise much either so went with someone else (William Fay). Pretty much called all the letters I got in the mail and asked how much/what can they promise. We'll see how long it gets continued.[Edited on January 28, 2009 at 4:57 PM. Reason : .]

Crouch was a lot cheaper than my last lawyer, but that was more a "lose your license" situation for me (speeding 35 MPH over + reckless driving) so that might have had some effect on it. [Edited on January 28, 2009 at 5:09 PM. Reason : l]

I've never been that impressed by what Crouch ended up doing for moparnum5 & me... but perhaps they were just too typical for him to put in any extra effort. All just reduced to 9 over w/ no insurance points. I think we've used him for about 5 tickets over the years.[Edited on January 28, 2009 at 6:26 PM. Reason : fixed it]

He's done great things for me in all of my careless/reckless driving tickets PS don't do a doughnut in front of a cop.
