man this sucksi couldnt care less about most of chrysler nowadays(coming from a MOPAR fan!)I do hope that someone saves the jeep line and the 3/4 ton and up rams when the rest of chrysler goes under (gotta have my cummins)

challenger oughta hang around too
12/18/2008 8:48:13 AM
while unfortunate, they typically shut down for 2 weeks or so around this time every year. still sucks though.

GM just slashed a shit ton of orders this morning.. like, 9 weeks worth.not sure what's been announced though

BICYCLES FOR ALL!

this is the first smart move they have made...no sense in pumping out vehicles when no one is buying them. just go to a car lot and see how much inventory is sitting there costing them money right now.
12/18/2008 3:21:52 PM
this is the first intelligent thing that they have done
12/18/2008 3:32:03 PM
no, the first intelligent thing to do was not make cars in the first place
12/18/2008 3:48:07 PM
wll be a good MOPAR holiday vacation

y not merely slow production by increasing quality control? [Edited on December 20, 2008 at 2:49 AM. Reason : guess it doens't matter since no1 buying cars reuardless of quality]

it'll save them in power bills and etc but the news said they still have to pay their workers like 95% of their pay anyways so it'll save squat on payroll bills.
12/20/2008 10:14:45 AM
we'll see if Ford or GM ends up merging with them. I imagine they would kill everything but the viper, Caravan/Town and Country minivan, Ram pickups, Charger/Challenger/300, and Wrangler/Cherokee style line
12/20/2008 1:09:10 PM
the minivans, challenger and jeep are the only things worth salvaging. I loved the magnum but they've already killed it.

oh ok, maybe it was 95% when the auto workers are fired... something about a "job bank"
