I need to replace the 5th gear in my 00' Acura Integra LS 5spd (82k), and I haev done all the work before on my car, but the transmission is a little daunting. Has anyone worked on one of these tranny's and could give some advice or help?

how about i sell you a 5spd tranny for the price it will cost you to do it?its got bit more miles than yours.depends on what all you've done, if youve installed an intake and some super bright lights, then id highly advise you to get someone else to do it, even if you have someone on the phone telling you what to do.http://www.9one9racing.com/98integra.pdfthats the 98+ integra helms manual. take a look through there and then decide if you wanna swap out a 5th gear.its not hard, i mean ive never swapped a 5th gear, but ive taken a tranny apart and taken it out to sell(i can do it now, IF I HAVE TO, but you can usually find an LS tranny on the cheap). but if you've got time and patience.. then you can do it for a lot less[Edited on December 8, 2008 at 8:31 PM. I am predicting that a rapid downward spiral will occur in this thread and make you rethink the use of the word "tranny"
