Trying to sell this thing on Craigslist, but I figured I'd post it here too. $40Controls all your home theater stuff by programming in "activities" like "watch TV", "Play Xbox 360", or whatever. It turns the right stuff on, changes it to the appropriate input, etc. I don't have the software CD that came with it, but an updated version is available online at the logitech website for your specific OS anyway. Takes 4 AAA batteries. I'll try to watch this thread and answer any questions.Check for product compatibility: http://tinyurl.com/4wevqlLink to CL posting: http://raleigh.craigslist.org/ele/945412919.html

Shameless plug: I've used this remote and it is really cool. I would totally buy it if I had something to use it on.

how often has it been used or was it something that you've barely taken out of the box.do you still have the box and the manual?

I used it a lot actually, generally whenever i watched TV or played video games or watched a DVD. I keed. Actually, I got it about 6 months ago and used it fairly often. The batteries died on them recently (so, I guess that means batteries should last about 6 months). In my particular case, my audio receiver only had one digital input so I was switching my inputs around in the back a lot. With this remote, you use the software to change the remote and I just found that I wasn't updating the remote every time I switched something around in the back. This remote would probably be best for someone that has a fairly "static" home theater system, who don't change plugs and switch around inputs or who have people over using their system a lot. It's really great for when you have guests who want to use your system. They don't have to know what input to use or whatever, they just hit the activity. As far as the box goes, I dont have it... but I think it just came in one of those plastic shells. I have the "Installation" setup guide that it came with, which basically gives you the order in which to connect things and install the software. I actually just found the CD too! I think the manual might actually be on the CD. I kept all the paper that came with it, which was only the installation guide and an ad for other Logitech stuff.

^^^^ $40 is a fair price. Don't be a dick. This remote retails for $80 and is almost never on sale below $50.
