umm this is a serious question. I'm trying to write a paper and had a question on it so I was going to see if anyone could help me. Thanks though.

how do ya know noone has ever read it? not saying I have, but still.seems like you guys are quick to jump to conclusions, and i dont think this thread would fit in Chit chat either, if they are really writing a paper for class on it. if it was put there, you'd be all "chit chat is not study hall #2". crazies.

well first of all the topic is kind of crazy because it is asking about america's history of violence. But the question I have is about Custer, my teacher had mentioned he was an important character but the only place I can even find his name (yes, i read it before anyone says anything smart) is in a quote in the evidence chapter, "John, John, Oh John!" Does anyone remember what significance this phrase holds? There is a footnote to the battle of little bighorn so I looked that up but was wondering if there was anything specific that you remembered about him.Thank you for the people not acting like fools

Can someone please explain to me why you all keep saying suspend and to lock this thread. I had an actual question about school so I posted in Study Hall, which is supposed to be about school and classes, correct? There a tons of other questions in here on how to do people's math homework and ya'll don't bother them. Someone please let me know, if it just TWW nature that I am well aware of that is fine but I don't see anything wrong with my question and think that it is quite relevant to Study Hall. Thanks in advance.

I love Tim O'Brien's work, but I this one is still on the shelf waiting to be read unfortunately! After a Google search, I found that even a publisher's weekly quote on barnes & noble's website included mention of military violence & General Custer, so there must be something more there.
