Well, I have four and you need 6 to get a free gallon of milk...If anyone has one to spare and wants to split the cost of a gallon of milk, we can combine mine with yours and get a gallon of milk for cheaps. It expires on the 9th!

Somebody wanna get some milk? No pervy.

split the cost how? i'm not sure how one splits a gallon of milk without introducing bacteria/letting it get warm.

Nooo, if you have one free milk ticket, I can split the cost of the gallon of milk and we would each pay half for one gallon and have enough coupons to get another gallon free.

Does that make sense?

just a heads up, but Harris Teeter requires that the tickets all come from the same VIC card when you redeem the tickets for whatever "prize" is at the end of a certain number of weeks. you may want to check that out at Food Lion.

are you really saving anything if you have to drive to pick up a coupon?

not trying to troll, but just wondering. we go through 2-3 gallons a week so free milk would be pretty nice

^^there is some kind of number and a date and time on the edge of the tickets. it's not the same number on my mvp card. i think it may be the store number.

just tell them that 4 are from yours and the other 2 are from your husband/wife. they'll probably comply.

^unfortunately, that doesn't fly at Harris Teeter. i know this because i worked there, and we had to "warn the customers" when they said they didn't have their VIC card, but then they wanted the little red ticket at the end of the transaction.

but then again, i worked at HT about 5yrs ago, so i suppose they could have changed the rules. who knows? i'm curious though - so i guess i'll go Google it.

*update* so the FL website says to use "Your Personal MVP Card" at every visit. it's possible they'll require that the MVP numbers match. you could call and ask the customer service person!

HT had to implement that rule because people who didn't collect the coupons would just leave them in the carts, and people would come in and grab them and get as many as they could. so they'd get 2 or 3 coupons for each week, which meant 2 or 3 of the "prizes" and as you all know, HT used to have some pretty good "prizes". so they had to do something to make sure people couldn't just thief the coupons and profit.

Milk is $4 a gallon. I teach foods and nutrition and have to feed 70 kids on $1000 budget (which is getting cut for next year ) for 6 months. If I can get a gallon of milk for free, I'm going to do it. If it involves grabbing two coupons from a stranger, well then thank you stranger.

I prefer thrify instead of "cheap".

You teach food and nutrition and you have to feed 70 kids? Feed them what, and how often do you have to feed them? How old are these "kids"?

bi-lo just stores the "tickets" on your card's account, personally a much superior way of doing it

My students cook once a week and they make 5 different dishes each time we cook. I have three classes with 25 in each class.

Sometimes the unit requires milk and sometimes not.

This past Friday we made fruit pizza, strawberry pretzle salad, sweet potato casserole, hashbrown casserole, and broccoli cheese soup.

Ty Harrellson came to visit. It was a fun lab day

that sounds like so much fun!

but seriously, you may want to call FL and check their "policy" before showing up with tickets that don't match your MVP card.

I work at FL, and it don't matter where they came from, don't matter which store, or whose card you used. And nice cashiers will let you use the one that you get when the gallon is scanned to count to your free gallon. Meaning, if you go in with 5, they'll go ahead and let you do it. Especially right here at the end. Not sure about the company policy on it.

It says on or before the 16th. So if "till" you mean "before" then I guess you are right, but not ON the 17th.

I have two in Cary if someone wants to get them from me.
