USC wears red, so they get charged a TO, so being a class act, UCLA immediately uses one of theirs. nice start the game

12/6/2008 4:41:53 PM

12/6/2008 4:42:19 PM

12/6/2008 4:43:00 PM
well, hopefully it turns into a good game and not a 40 point blow out so this can thread can be used
12/6/2008 4:43:53 PM
I just felt like making a game thread so i can state observations about it while i watch it.so far USC hasn't done shit but fumble.]
12/6/2008 4:44:20 PM
haha. td bruins
12/6/2008 4:47:40 PM
UCLA will beat them again. It will be awesome.
12/6/2008 4:47:44 PM
holy ballsack
12/6/2008 4:48:52 PM
this thread is relevant.
12/6/2008 4:50:21 PM
If UCLA wins does that mean Oregon State goes to the Rose Bowl like they would have if they hadn't lost to Oregon.
12/6/2008 4:51:12 PM
^ Yes.
12/6/2008 4:52:01 PM
Well go UCLA! I'd love to see Oregon State get into a BCS bowl. Also does that mean that USC would potentially not go to a BCS bowl and undefeated Boise State would sneak in?
12/6/2008 4:53:07 PM
usc pwnt, stay home
12/6/2008 4:56:16 PM
12/6/2008 4:57:28 PM
which is an absolutely rediculous rule
12/6/2008 4:58:19 PM
Does that mean combined or from each of those conferences.Wouldn't it say 'or' not 'and' if it was combined?
12/6/2008 4:59:35 PM
I didn't know about that rule. It's stupid and more reason why we need a playoff.
12/6/2008 4:59:52 PM
like Utah/Ball St./Boise St. would beat Oklahoma/Florida/Alabama/Texas this year...
12/6/2008 5:02:07 PM
12/6/2008 5:04:05 PM
Anything can happen (see NC State bball in 83, Villanova bball in 85, Boise State in 06).
12/6/2008 5:04:30 PM
actually the whole rule is:No more than one such team from Conference USA, the Mid-American Conference, the Mountain West Conference, the Sun Belt Conference, and the Western Athletic Conference shall earn an automatic berth in any year. (Note: a second team may be eligible for at-large eligibility as noted below.) If two or more teams from those conferences satisfy the provisions for an automatic berth, then the team with the highest finish in the final BCS Standings will receive the automatic berth, and the remaining team or teams will be considered for at-large selection if it meets the criteria.-http://www.bcsfootball.comThe process gets complicated if USC loses, but it looks like USC would need to drop to below #14 in order to not get an atlarge and open up room for Boise
12/6/2008 5:05:17 PM
12/6/2008 5:08:34 PM
14-7
12/6/2008 5:21:38 PM
UCLA Interception!
12/6/2008 5:39:16 PM
that would be great if ucla upsets usc
12/6/2008 5:40:29 PM
I think if UCLA wins then there is a three way tie between Oregon St, Oregon and USC. Oregon would win the tie breaker and get the bid to the Rose Bowl. Or so I heard.
12/6/2008 5:48:46 PM
