what about POY and ROY?
12/1/2008 3:20:31 PM
Nate Irving got honorable mention as well
12/1/2008 3:21:39 PM
^^no clue yet

12/1/2008 3:27:20 PM
kind of ridiculous that we only got one position on first team
12/1/2008 3:28:27 PM
ha we got one position PERIOD
12/1/2008 3:31:53 PM
Young, Irving and Graham are all in the honorable mention section.
12/1/2008 3:32:12 PM
kind of ridiculous that we only got one position on first either team
12/1/2008 3:32:25 PM
Despite all the late season goodnessWe're still a 6-6 teamThis is a season long honor, not a "What have you done for me lately"Wilson was good and probably deserving, but this was definitely a down year for quarterbacks in the ACC as a whole
12/1/2008 3:35:21 PM
if Irving hadn't been out so many games he probably would have been first team. I have a feeling Paschal got a lot of pity votes due to his "career ending" injury, even though his career was basically over anyway.
12/1/2008 3:35:24 PM
12/1/2008 3:35:33 PM
agree. Irving, Graham and Young should have been second team at least. Irving would have been first team if he wasn't hurt so much.

I bet if RW hadnt been amazing the last 4 games, Irving would have made 1st or 2nd team all ACC. He was our "media posterchild" before RW showed up recently.... They always have at least one player from each team in 1st or 2nd....
12/1/2008 3:40:15 PM
What!?! No Marvin Austin! This is an outrage! He was the top rated high school player in the country when he came to UNC and had some of the best man boobs I've ever seen. This list is a joke.

GG Russell, keep it up!
12/1/2008 3:45:35 PM
Willie Young missed 2nd team by 14 votesIrving by 12Graham by 10
12/1/2008 3:46:45 PM
Guesses on his rating in NCAA next year ?I'm thinking maybe 86 overall, with 84 speed and 88-90 accuracy but low 80's arm strengh
12/1/2008 3:48:58 PM
Irving missed games, not surprised he didn't make first team but I expected at least 2nd.Willie Young just showed up the 2nd half, not surprised he didn't make it but glad to see he got honorable mention. But TJ Graham got jipped. Miami literally spent the whole game kicking away from him like he was Devin Hester. He ran back a TD and he broke our record for KR in a season. I could understand Tate because he is an amazing KR, but he didn't make it either.

i thought it would be a long time before NCSU had a 1st team QB...

um PRiv???
12/1/2008 4:07:30 PM
If they only counted ACC games for All-ACC selections we would have a lot more.

12/1/2008 4:09:59 PM
that's pretty cool that he's the first freshman ever to get 1st-Team All-ACC
12/1/2008 4:15:11 PM
Owen might be up there if he hadn't dropped so many balls. Cause god knows, wilson likes throwing to him.
12/1/2008 4:20:48 PM
12/1/2008 4:27:20 PM
damn that really comes to show you how bad the qbs in the ACC are
12/1/2008 4:33:01 PM
12/1/2008 4:33:10 PM
Seems pretty accurate. You're showing your bias if you think we should have had anybody else on those 1st or 2nd teams.

Congrats to Russell Wilson. Well deserved.
12/1/2008 9:44:35 PM
^^seriously...Irving only missed what, 1 or 2 more games than Wilson? Irving was the only bright spot in the first couple weeks of the season, and made some huge plays towards the end of the year too...he will be playing on Sundays eventually, its no stretch to say he should've made 2nd team, although I guess it must have been the games played/missed that kept him out
12/1/2008 9:49:29 PM
Oh well. Someone keep this list so we can compare it to next year. I have a feeling things will look pleasantly different.
12/1/2008 9:52:16 PM
Really suprised Andre Brown aint even a meantion
12/1/2008 10:00:49 PM
really surprised?i mean, it would be cool if he did, but i'm not sure the stats warrant it
