At 8-2, and in 2nd place in the NFC, it may seem as if the Panthers are a virtual lock to make playoffs. I'm here to say otherwise. The Panthers have an extremely hard schedule coming up: @ATL, @GB, TB, DEN, @NYG, @NO. In that list of games, I see 2 definite losses in there (NYG and GB). And don't think that NYG will rest up for playoffs, they didn't last year and they won't this year. GB is hott right now and Lambeau is getting cold, that is a definite loss. Now let's look at the others. @ATL: hott team coming off of a loss that has been shutting down the pass lately (Russell- 31 yds, Brees-3 ints, Cutler- 200 yds and TD which is pretty low numbers for him; other teams to keep him to those totals were NE and TB). Not to mention that ATL has been pretty good stopping the run lately. I give Panthers a loss here. Next, TB on MNF. Jeff Garcia owns the Panthers. Simply put. Garcia has won this contest 5 out of the last 5 times they have played each other, and with a very strong Bucs team right now, I don't expect anything different. Next, Denver. Giving the Panthers a win here, but this game will be very tough. Denver just beat ATL in ATL and they look to be coming back to their early season form, plus Champ Bailey will be healthy by the time this game is played and Smith will be invisible. I give Panthers this win tho, barely. Next, @NO, giving Panthers this win as well. I think the Saints suck and Panthers will be more determined to win because they are fighting for a playoff berth, but this again will be a tough game because it is away. In summary, the Panthers just have an extremely tough schedule and I'm sorry for you guys but it just isn't going to work out like you think this year. They have been a benificiary of an extremely easy schedule and they have shown a drop off in play lately. Not to mention with Giants a lock for #1 seed and Cardinals, Bucs, Packers, Bears, Falcons, Skins, and now the Cowboys all breathing down their neck with easier schedules, the future looks dim unfortunately for the Panthers. This season for the Panthers will end as one of the biggest blown opportunities ever, and it will happen, but it isn't the Panthers' faults playing bad so much, its just that schedule. They have never been good this whole season, they got an easy early schedule and now it will show.

the panthers basically depend on how bad delhomme does...and even that hasnt stopped them from winning lately

We'll beat the Buccs and NO. So we'll be 10-2.I think we can run it down Denver's throat. So we'll be 11-2.But I do see us losing the other 3.So we'll be 11-5. In the NFC, that's a lock to get in and probably win the division.

Speaking on the NYG post, no week 17 they were already in, they chose to play that game against the Patriots. Get your shit right.

because your post filled with "facts" is absolutely ridiculousand absolutely ridiculous posts deserve absolutely ridiculous replies

Since when are facts ridiculous dude. Maybe its better if you dont post actually.

http://sportsillustrated.cnn.com/2008/writers/dom_bonvissuto/11/18/playoff.projections/1.htmlThis link is stupid. Sports Illustrated is a terrible source in my opinion. I mean they have the Saints winning the South. This sounds like someone is sore because he made some preseason prediction that Saints would go to playoffs and he is still trying to hang on to it. Saints will no doubtedly finish last in the South and Im 100 percent positive on that.

I predict 6-0 last 6 games[Edited on November 19, 2008 at 2:18 PM. Reason : .]
11/19/2008 2:17:20 PM
so without seeing the teams play each other yet (except for ATL,NO, and TB), you know for a fact how the games will end up?so they might as well not even play seeing as how the "facts" tell you they will lose?
11/19/2008 2:17:42 PM
Cool man. I used facts to back up my predictions.[Edited on November 19, 2008 at 2:22 PM. Reason : fag]
11/19/2008 2:20:11 PM
facts aren't ridiculous... the only facts you have are the association gamesDenver beat so and so so it may be tough. Shut the fuck up. The panthers have underperformed because of injuries for the past two years, and now that they have a healthy team, you are seeing how well they perform. The raiders and lions haven't turned into blowouts like we would have hoped. But we are 2nd in the NFC, and you will see why in this upcoming schedule.the only way you can tell if someone really doesn't know anything about the NFL and it's teams, is when they predict what they will do over the next 6 games.
11/19/2008 2:21:06 PM
^^well one of your most important "facts" is that a certain team is "hott" and you also offer no reason why the Green Bay game is a loss other than its cold at Lambeau in November.[Edited on November 19, 2008 at 2:23 PM. Reason : s]

haha, troll troll troll your boat, gently down the stream...I am anything but a homer, but you declare absolute fact that we will not make the playoffs... and you're giving us a 10-6 record.pretty strong statement considering if we just happen to pull one of those games out of our ass(according to you), we are more than likely in.I'll make a strong statement myself... I know for a fact, that we will not lose three games in a row.also, you contradict yourself, the Panthers are HOTT right now, so I would assume you would predict a 14-2 record[Edited on November 19, 2008 at 2:36 PM. hey, I can call a prediction a "fact" too:The Panthers will beat the Falcons, Packers, Broncos, and SaintsThe Panthers will lose to the Giants and the Bucs. Now that I said it it must be a fact. Right???
11/19/2008 2:34:58 PM
when the Panthers went to 7-2 (after beating the Raiders), they put a stat up on the broadcast...the stat was, 90% of teams who started off 7-2 made the playoffs. That is a fact. Then, we won another game and went to 8-2. Odds are heavily in the Panthers favor that they make the playoffs, despite what Miss Cleo hear wants to predictAlso whats so hard about playing the Broncos? We'll rush for 200+ on that soft run defense too[Edited on November 19, 2008 at 2:37 PM. Reason : AFC WEST SWEEP]

^^6 Tree said what needed to be said.Saying a team is hott is not a fact. Saying its cold in GB is a fact. Saying a team will lose b/c its cold and a team is hott is not a fact.No reason the Panthers cannot win in GB. The facts have shown that the Panthers have won 8 out of 10 games, and against some pretty solid teams. I think Pats are virtually in the playoffs. Our run game is pretty devastating and out Defense is solid enough when it counts. To Predict/Guess/State that Panthers will not make the playoffs and base it only on guess-statements is pretty childish. III[Edited on November 19, 2008 at 2:48 PM. What's funny is that these Panthers fans keep thriving on that what I say isn't fact but no one has came back at me with an explanation on why the Panthers will not lose 4 of their next 6. I explained why with facts that they will lose 4 of their next 6. Anyone care to stop being gay and actually challenge me? And yes I know that there is a possibility they can win more than I said, bu the fact remains that I can explain why WITH FACTS that they will lose 4 of 6.[Edited on November 19, 2008 at 3:09 PM. We got lucky and played KC before Thigpen and LJ were around together.
11/19/2008 3:13:13 PM
They won't lose 4 of 6 because they're a better team than that. They are good at running the ball and play pretty good defense. That = good team more often than not. Denver is 30th against the run. ATL 26th. The only team we play that is able to consistently hold other teams under 100 yards rushing is NYG. All these teams either average or bad at stopping the run, and you expect one of the best running teams in the NFL to go 2-4 against them? I think not.Just stop n00bing all over sports talk.

no i would not say allowing 422 passing yards is a pretty good performance defensively, nor would anyone else familiar with football on any levelhowever if atlanta shut down brees, by your same logic, the panthers shut down kurt warner[Edited on November 19, 2008 at 3:17 PM. Reason : .]

ATL is 25th on the year against the Pass. Not very impressive.
11/19/2008 3:17:26 PM
"39" yno what is relevant about this number. That's the number of rushing yards Carolina got against the Bucs last time they played. 39 YARDS!!! What again about this awesome rushing team?
11/19/2008 3:19:24 PM
we got over 250 rushing yards last weekif you can say atlanta has been defending the pass well LATELY, then the panthers have been running well LATELYbtw who is your team? i'm going to guess dallas, as they have the dumbest fans
11/19/2008 3:22:16 PM
My mistake i looked at 2007 stats instead. However. 4/6 teams bad against the run. 2 good against it, but we get one at home. odds are we win at least 4 of those games. The Panthers are a great rushing team. You can't look at one game for a singularity and forget about the 134 yards per game on the ground]

The Panthers have been running very very very well lately...AGAINST OAKLAND AND DETROIT, SAINTS, AND KANSAS CITY (and the Cards one game, props on that). Check out what they did against TB and Min which are GOOD defenses....you'll find they did jack shit.
