I've got a Toshiba Satellite U205-S5002 and for the past few of months I have to fiddle with the charging plug more and more to get it to charge. In the past couple of days I can't really get it to charge at all. I'm pretty sure that I'm getting a good connection with the plug and adapter and getting voltage in but it never charges. Is there any sort of common problem with the laptop power connections?

Yea...it's called fiddling with stuff. You probably broke the connection on the power jack on the inside of the laptop.

It might be your power brick. My friend had one die on him after a little over a year on an A205. He also had the LCD die 3 months later. The cheap Toshiba laptops are exactly what they are, cheap. They are only meant to last for a year.

i have the same problem with my ac adapter, but i think it's because i wrap the cord around the brick when i'm transporting it. over time the cord gets really stressed like that, and now i can actually see wires
