"Touch me and I'll ripple, but look and you will see, I'm hanging out with George, Thomas, Abraham, and Franklin in the east since cents 2001."Yea, this is a Blackout clue, but it isn't illegal to help each other out! Any ideas guys?

sounds like a fountain somewhere on campus.
11/12/2008 1:57:10 AM
But due to the drought situation all possible fountains are dry. And who would drop $100 into a fountain? Maybe its figurative.
11/12/2008 1:59:24 AM
Centennial somewhere, go figure
11/12/2008 2:36:35 AM

Haha OmarBadu, did you seriously delete my post saying he'd already made this thread? I still think you get a kick out of deleting my posts for whatever reason, lol.Anyway, I don't think anyone should help her because this is clearly an assignment for an English Class. ]

There's a fountain near Thompkins Hall (in the grassy area to the right of it).[Edited on November 12, 2008 at 10:17 AM. Reason : ]

Except for the ripple part, I thought it was Clark Dining hall. People pay money there, and it's in the east and was built in 2001.
11/12/2008 10:05:38 AM
Me too. The other dining hall IS fountain tho....
11/12/2008 10:09:08 AM
Well what does "east cents 2001" mean?I don't think that relates to Fountain does it?
11/12/2008 10:16:27 AM
One would think not. East since 2001. Gotta be Clark dining hall. They used what sounds like a fountain in the clue. Maybe that was just to get you to think "dining hall". ??

Why would a dining hall ripple? What you want is in Mary Yarborough Court. Find that and you're on your way to the answer.

"I once served waffles and corned beef hash, now look up, I'll take your cash."Nothing has been found in fountain, or any of the dining halls. Any buildings that used to be dining halls here?

11/13/2008 2:21:39 AM
please explain wtf this thread is all about
11/13/2008 2:22:23 AM
Thats Harris HallIt used to be the dining hall, now its the Financial/Cashiers office
11/13/2008 9:12:29 AM
^Yep. Look up probably a reference to the large set of stairs in front of the building. Harris was the cafeteria from 1963 until sometime in the 70's or 80's. (Fountain came along in 1982.) There was also a period of time where there was no dining hall on campus, requiring students to either cook on hot plates in their dorms or head for Hillsborough Street for sustenance, but I'm a bit hazy as to when that was. I *think* that there was a gap between Harris's conversion to offices and Fountain's completion, but I could be wrong, it could have been 20 years earlier between Leazar's conversion and Harris's completion.

Blackout is a scavenger hunt put on by NCSU's IRC. Clues are put in the technician that lead you to a medallion clue. The medallion clues for the entire week point toward a location that this medallion will be. On Friday, the medallion will be placed, and the prize is $250 if you find it.
