i guess it depends on how much more he climbs in the record books, but I'd have to say yes
11/11/2008 10:07:28 AM
how about:Name one reason he wouldn't be a Hall of Famer? He's been MVP, He's been Superbowl Champion, He's rapidly climbing up the record books in terms of passing accuracy and passing yardage. It's really a no-brainer.He's in.
11/11/2008 10:09:47 AM
With 7 games to go, the Arizona Cardinals are now a lock for the playoffs. He should be anointed king of football for performing that miracle.
11/11/2008 10:12:37 AM
I think so...Amazing this guy wasn't even in the NFL for what 10 years before someone gave him a chance.
11/11/2008 10:15:14 AM
I think the only thing holding him back is his butch ass wife[Edited on November 11, 2008 at 10:25 AM. Reason : .]

Its an issue where such an extremely high peak outweighs the brevity of his careerTwo peaks reallywith a long valley in between

It's insane that KURT WARNER could end up being a 3-time MVP. He's the front-runner for the award this year.
11/11/2008 10:32:32 AM
11/11/2008 10:33:56 AM
Watching the game last night reminded me of those Rams teams from the 99-03 seasons with a little less down field passing. IMO, Kurt Warner's decline a few years ago was more the result of terrible offensive line play and teams with bad defense. I said months before Warner had that bad hand injury in St. Louis that the line was going to get him killed, then viola. He has had a pretty crazy career, but this season just shows that brilliance he had when he was the superbowl MVP is still there.
11/11/2008 10:40:10 AM
definitely should be an HOFer.
11/11/2008 11:39:44 AM
11/11/2008 11:42:40 AM
They had a stat last night showing that he's thrown for 300+ yards in 45% of his starts.Dude can just plain fling it.
11/11/2008 11:54:13 AM
Not to mention he does this while wearing a glove on his throwing hand, I don't know anyone that is as good or even close to him who does that.
11/11/2008 12:06:23 PM
Roflburger plays with a glove sometimes when it's cold. There was some controversy about that after he had a few bad games with the glove on. I don't know if he wears it anymore.

The Cardinals making the playoffs this year isn't exactly a hard thing to do. Look at the teams in their division:Seattle - obliterated by injuriesSF - garbageSTL - garbageI mean Oakland would contend for a playoff spot in that division, haha.

Don't compare Big Ben to Warner, For starters Ben won a bullshit superbowl, and there's a reason the Steelers suck when he throws more than 20 times a game, cause he isn't a good QB.
11/11/2008 12:56:19 PM
11/11/2008 1:34:34 PM
^^ ha Big Ben and Warner are my two Qbs on my fantasy team. Thank God I drafted Warner as a backup plan!! Big Ben has been garbage for most of this season after having 30+ TDs last year.[Edited on November 11, 2008 at 1:35 PM. Reason : ^]

The answer is yes
11/11/2008 1:38:08 PM
New discussion: How about Kerry Lollins? Like if the Titans were to go 19-0 and he was the MVP of the league/SB, etc.? I seriously doubt it because he's been so up and down and traded around, but this should be grounds for automatic entry.....
11/11/2008 1:52:58 PM
^collins is not hall worthy
11/11/2008 1:58:57 PM
Even if the Titans did go 19-0 (which is doubtful), Collins still wouldn't be MVP.They would give it to Haynesworth before Collins.

I simply can't put him in at this point in his career. Yes he was extremely impressive from 1999-2001, but then fairly ineffective from 2002-2006. I do agree he almost completely responsible for the Cardinals turnaround (along with Boldin and Fitz) but he is going to need at least 3-4 more years of this kind of production and/or another ring before I can consider him for Canton.
11/12/2008 12:48:47 AM
good thing your consideration is pivotal in this matter
11/12/2008 11:45:42 AM
Kurt Warner has been the savior of my fantasy team the last two seasons.
11/12/2008 11:46:20 AM
if Kurt warner is the front runner for MVP then it just goes to prove my theory that "this is a weak year in the NFL"also i dont think he deserves to be in teh HOF yet, until he leads another team to 2 or 3 good season
11/12/2008 11:57:28 AM
11/12/2008 12:21:17 PM
absolutely.also i think he has atl;east one more season of putting up huge numbers
11/12/2008 1:59:41 PM
11/12/2008 2:28:32 PM
I believe he is a HOF'er. He has proven that he belongs with the best. I think the challenge of him coming in and competing at such a high level after not making the league will only add to his career story that will earn him a pass into the HOF. titans78 Is correct, other QB's had the same opportunity with the talent around them, and yet it seems that only Kurt has been able to produce with them. 11/12/2008 3:18:05 PM
It's iffy.I'd lean towards no.
11/12/2008 3:33:37 PM
11/12/2008 3:42:52 PM
It is iffy, but I'd lean towards yes, but only if he finishes this year strong and leads AZ on a good playoff run. If he hadn't blown up this season I think you could safely say that he was a product of the system in St. Louis, instead you have to say that he is a legitimately excellent QB and potentially a 3 time league MVP. No denying him with those awards, a Super Bowl, a Super Bowl MVP, and great success on 2 teams.
11/12/2008 5:10:26 PM
^^if warren moon is in, then so is steve beaurline, thats a stupid argumentanyways as far as this being a weak year in the NFL i shouldnt even have to site examples but unfortunately yall cant think for yourselvesyes we dont need patriots, colts, cowboys, etc playing at high level to have a good seasonbut who replaced them?titans? panthers? redskins? you gotta be kidding me, its like replacing a Mercedes with a Kiaim a panther fan but as far as im concerned they've only played one good game, anyways i dont wanna repeat my previous arguments, but just think to yourself, who are the top QB's, DL's, RB's, & ectim done
11/12/2008 8:20:25 PM
11/12/2008 9:02:17 PM
I for one don't see this as being a weak year. There are several teams playing at a high level, and as the statement portrays, "Any Given Sunday." Teams are having to come with it week in and week out. There are not as many pure garbage teams save the Lions and Raiders. I love the idea of a 14 & 13 win season for a group of teams, but I like it better when you got to play every week to secure a playoff spot and home field. New stars are emerging, and old vets are playing to form, so you never know what the new week will bring.I don't believe there is a basis for this being a "Weak" Season...nobody is laying down to lose. when i first read the title, I laughed, but the more I think about it the guy has put up a solid resume. In his down years, his o-line was awful. He isn't going to win any agility drills, but he can gun it. Why not, he's in
