This is going to sound completely weird, but I'm looking to fly to Frankfurt, but I want to fly on a 777 or 747 is possible. Does anybody know of a site that allows control of the planes that you fly on ALONG with your layover airports?

for the type of plane i'm pretty sure there isn't - but you can always see what type of plane before you book the flight - you can narrow your searches down by determining who flys 777s or 747s into frankfurt

I've found Kayak.com to provide the best search parameters.I don't think specific plane type is available as a search parameter but youshould be able to see it on individual flights by hitting the details link.Have something against Airbus ?

The airlines sometimes do not know what plane you will be on until the incoming planes pass after-flight and pre-flight inspections. They can make attempts to schedule the flights, but things never go as planned. I have had flights booked 6 months in advance, with the flight changing only once and flights booked 2 months in advance where we have changed flights 3 times and changed planes 3 times in the week before the flight. You are not going to be able to pick the plane. Most airlines pick the plane for the number of people on the flight.

jcfox2 when flying international, they know what plane they're using. The problem is AA went to the 767-300 for the RDU <-> LHR flight, and that plane is crap.I'm attempting to find a carrier using the 777 with a simple layover. Unfortunately all the flights between RDU <-> FRA during December have layovers in the North.I'm searching around, luckily Kayak does give some search options but they've had a lot of carriers drop off their searches (American Airlines being one for example).

this sounds like something that is really, really stupid to waste your time and effort

what's wrong with the 767? I've flown on those and 747s several times, and the 767s were always much more comfortable.

Aficionado being trapped on a plane for 10+ hours it becomes well worth the time and effort, especially since I make this flight about once a quarter.kiljadn the 767 is okay just not my top choice.Unfortunately things are futile at this point as I'm stuck on a 757 out of JFK.*bought a second PSP battery already*
