Anyone have any recommendations around the Traingle (ideally closer to the Morrisville area) for beginner guitar lessons, intending to focus on the blues/classic rock (I know that is a tall task)

Honestly I dont know about lessons in Raleigh (I WISH I took lessons in college though - well honestly a lot earlier than that but I wasnt in Raleigh before college) but I would at least go to Harry's and ask. They could probably point you in the direction of someone out your way if they know of any.

Harry's is where I took lessons when I started in sixth grade, and it's been my favorite guitar shop in town ever since. [rant]Incidentally, I really feel like it's the working guitar player's shop in Raleigh. They've got high end stuff, but also mid-range and cheap-but-good stuff, (an Eastwood White Falcon!?), and everyone on the staff is friendly and always willing to help however they can. They'll treat you the same whether you're buying a $200 Squier or a $3500 Gretsch. That's not to say that the other shops in town are bad, but Fat Sound is mostly high end stuff, and the chain stores are full of cookie-cutter garbage...I'm a Harry's customer for life. [/rant]
