I didn't make up my mind in 2004 until about dinnertime on election night (when I finally decided to piss away a vote for Badnarik, whom I don't really see eye to eye with, anyway). I made up my mind early in this election, then changed it a few days before the election.but yeah, he is pretty much a wall-eyed mouthbreather.[Edited on November 4, 2008 at 6:08 PM. hmm.you know, i may have been "somewhat undecided" in 2000.... if there is such a designation.although i had decided to vote for Gore, I was not very happy about it. i think i went to the ballot still kind of mulling a potential vote for GWB, or even a throw-away vote for Harry Browne

i was undecided about a few choices until today. there are a lot of positions to vote for and not all of them get a lot of press. unless you have taken time to read up on positions and issues, it doesn't surprise me that a lot of people might still be undecided.

I voted absentee, which meant I sat down with the ballot and my laptop and researched every candidate. I wrote in "no confidence" for President, and abstained from other races because I couldn't find information about the candidates or because I didn't like either of them (no write in for anything besides President). In other cases, I voted for a candidate.

^^ Exactly what I did for President. But I stood there mulling it over for about 10 minutes before committing pen to paper...[Edited on November 4, 2008 at 7:02 PM. Reason : ...]

It's kind of sad that elections are decided by people who don't know enough about politics to form a solid opinion. (the above people afflicted with crippling pragmatism excepted)

jackleg?

crippling pragmatism...hahacould that be construed as a compliment from across the aisle for whenever i run for office?
11/4/2008 7:10:38 PM
haha, I'd consider that high praise for a politician.

unfortunately, while i think that is one quality of mine that would make me a great policymaker and holder of elected office, it is not conducive to actually getting elected (or even making it onto the ballot, in most cases).
