It's not the processor you really care about, but a vid card that will do HDMI out (I guess via a converter from DVI) and perhaps have enough tweaking tools to display on your TV. Search for HTPC and you should get all you care about for this sort of thing.

technically speaking you just need a video card with HDCP compliance and DVI outthen just get a HDCP compliant DVI-to-HDMI cable to your TV:http://www.monoprice.com/products/product.asp?c_id=102&cp_id=10231&cs_id=1023104&p_id=2405&seq=1&format=2there's also a couple thread on this:message_topic.aspx?topic=472002&page=23[Edited on November 3, 2008 at 6:42 PM. Question: If your TV has a VGA connector, why would you need any of this?

im not really looking into using this as a dvr or adding a TV tuner nor will i be gaming. i just want to use the PC with my TV (as the monitor)hook up a wireless keyboard and mouse and spank it from the couch (lol)my TV has a VGA connector also.
