Well, I think I've said a lot of it before, but I'll try to maintain some logic and reasoning in this post, as I see this new forum fit for TWW:Basically a forum like this, in all seriousness, will help a lot of people, and especially the ones that use TWW a lot or too much, stay health and fitness-conscious. It's not a hard thing to do to be in college and put on pounds at a computer or at a party, so this forum may help a lot of people stay alert with their exercise habits, etc.. I also think we're all at an age/generation where our health habits could slip or be replaced by the technologies we have. Creating a forum like this would also weed out most of the "screw around" talk you're bound to find in Chit Chat, the Lounge, etc.. There are many posts in a good number of these sections where people are trying to get some kind of activity (athletic-wise) going, but it usually falls through, or falls off course because no one can really tell how serious the other people are. I think getting some kinda sport together would be a really good way to actually meet people (and this is all assuming that this new section would be, for one, most proper to set up sports and such, even if it's nothing but a game of ping pong). I personally, don't wanna meet someone at some kinda party from here, cos you'll never know what kinda party it's gonna be (no dick in the mashed potatoes, etc.) and you know, it's usually pretty awkward to meet people you have no interpretation of aside from their posts. If someone wants to get some sports together or what not, I think it's a better way to meet someone...Also, this may be a new way to attract new users, thus potential new paying customers. I know a lot of people that have registered for TWW, but they are easily discouraged and hold an attitude such as, "All those people are dumbasses on there." Well, as I'm sure the garage is doing for car nuts, this proposed new forum may attract more people that just want to post about all these health topics, or just for club, intramural, etc. sports and gatherings. Hell, maybe even Magic the gatherings, haha. Anyways, it's a good chance it would work out for something like this. Highlighting such a thing in a separate forum would filter all the junk out of people that like to talk about things like exercise, health, sports gatherings, and so forth.Well, without ranting anymore, I want to say that if this idea is totally without a price to the moderators and owners of the site, I am seriously pushing it, so maybe it will be considered. If not, then carry on.

For once, I agree with Stumples, if this can happen, world peace and be achieved, and surely you can add this section. I know I would feel a lot more comfortable asking questions about things if there was a forum for it. Thanks.

I'm not sure if it's a good idea to have 500 different message boards to check. I mean, I already don't like having to check all of them one by one.

I agree with kontalonis. We have enough. Why not just post these topics in the sports forum? Exercise/fitness/health fits in there.[Edited on July 17, 2002 at 10:35 AM. Reason : foo]

well thats a good point...maybe we could expand the sports board to include that or keep it all in the lounge...but how do you figure it fits in with sports?

there have been several threads about health/fitness issues...

"too many sections?" - I'm sure you don't have to browse all of them, lil cunty.

there isn't enough discussion on this to constitute a new section. i can think of several sections that could be spun off before health/fitness.

Ok, we need to have a debate over which new topics to add, that is if you're thinking about adding any more. I'd like to hear some more ideas for topics, and you're right, there are probably other ones better to add than this one. I see the most important thing is getting NCSU students and basically anyone else to spend time/pay for the use of this site.
