Tomorrow is my birthday and I wanna buy a cake... I don't need anything too fancy and I don't need my name or anything on it either. Where can I get one? Foodlion? Walmart (I'm sure walmart does, but it's kinda far away)? Harris Teeter? Whole Foods?

If its a cake just for you - go with Whole Foods. They sell smaller cakes that are delicious for about $7-9. I bought one for our "wedding" and it was out of this world good.

i've never had the whole food cakes but i have had sheet cakes from both walmart and foodlion and they are both pretty good for the cost.
10/22/2008 8:54:48 AM

10/22/2008 10:50:36 AM
Mmmm, Carvel ice cream cake...In my opinion the cakes from Harris Teeter are better than the ones from Food Lion. I don't know much about the Wal*Mart or Whole Foods cakes.

if you get a whole foods cake just be sure to eat it the same day. They taste great, but they go bad in like 1 day. Probably for the same reason they taste so good, all natural and no preservatives.

I second the Sam's club cakes, i've had people tell me they liked that cake when they normally don't like that stuff...

10/23/2008 9:48:44 PM
If you don't mind spending some money, there's an amazing Swiss (?) bakery on the corner of Glenwood and Oberlin in the same shopping center as the Harris Teeter.
10/24/2008 2:31:19 AM
