sounds like a problem with the Blackberry software.Have you tried removing it?
10/14/2008 7:20:50 PM
Yep its removed. Do you think it would help to reinstall it?
10/14/2008 10:17:37 PM
have you made sure you killed everything from the blackberry software?i only ask because windows installations leave so many breadcrumbs... and it sounds like that software is your problem factor so far
10/14/2008 11:01:42 PM
I did a full uninstall but do not know how else to clean it. Maybe I should try reinstalling the blackberry software?

Would now be a good time to upgrade to Vista?I have three separate hard drives. Is there a way I could set up Vista and have a dual boot environment? This is what I have.Is this easier to do with two separate drives? Also can it be done with an Upgrade copy of Vista and still leave the original OS alone?]
10/16/2008 1:20:18 PM
Do not ever "upgrade" to Vista. If you want to upgrade, you should always do a full, clean install. Always.
10/16/2008 4:12:37 PM
as he said, don't use the upgrade way of doing it..as far as dual booting.. you can do it on multiple drives, one drive, whatever you want to do.. it isn't all that much different anyway you want to do it
10/16/2008 4:16:00 PM
So I could not use this version?
10/16/2008 7:10:30 PM
It's okay to use the upgrade version. Just make SURE you keep your old XP CD and CD Key. It won't let you do a clean install without them.
10/16/2008 7:28:02 PM
Does it make me install XP then Vista? Or does it just check the validity of the XP cd and then do a clean Vista install. If its the first one then
10/16/2008 7:32:58 PM
should be the second one

Ok Now I have Vista installed on a separate drive and the installation still failed???Maybe the CD is scratched. I am trying installing it from the downloaded file.
10/16/2008 11:49:13 PM

10/17/2008 12:00:01 AM
