Colin Powell has been pretty quiet lately, I suspect he wants to endorse Obama (similar view on foreign policy for one) but I doubt he will do so.http://www.huliq.com/1/69018/more-signs-powell-endorsementhttp://www.cbsnews.com/stories/2008/09/26/politics/politico/thecrypt/main4481955.shtml

He does support Obama. I read that the Bush administration contacted him but asked him to keep it quiet and not embarrass the departing administration.Powell being the good soldier that he always is it seems, looks like he will comply.

well they did kinda screw him with that OMG TELL THE UN ABOUT THE WEAPONS OF MASS DESTRUCTION CAUSE THEY ACTUALLY RESPECT YOU bs...guess he doesn't hold a grudge.

Perhaps pissed off at Dubya but still holds some loyalty to Bush Sr. An "I'm not doing this for you but for the sake of your father" type of deal.

He has nothing to gain by politicizing himself in this race, why would he?
10/9/2008 10:54:56 AM
yeah, not to mention the backlash he would receive of people accusing him of doing it only because of race

Coming after that, an endorsement might be a liability.

maybe he should bring a stack of 36" x 60" posterboards illustrating the sterling-ness of Stevens' integrity.
