So, considering now going with Sprint due to a company discount and liking the look of the touch diamond. I was able to play with one in the Cary store for about 30 minutes today.Any pro's con's to this phone you guys care to comment on?What about Sprint in this area / NC? I just had a kid so travel beyond that is going to be limited for awhile.I want the phone for browsing the Internet, gmail account, playing mp3s. Very little business will be conducted on the phone (security reasons at work). What Sprint plan do you suggest - I know nothing about them other than 10 minutes on their site.

^, where is this other thread... I searched first and did not see the Touch Diamond on here. I did see some comments that Sprints reception was shit in Raleigh - really? How can that be in such a large city?

^ not on the Diamond.^^ also not the Diamond and that review was horrendous. The person writing the article should have a clue what they are talking about. I've had the phone in my head for less than 2 days and no more than that person. Can anyone speak on Sprint in the area? How would the anticipated reception and data be in Cary/Raleigh area?

they're the same phone except the qwerty keyboard, but yeah gg's on "noing more than everyone"

I am also more interested in the Touch Pro vs. Android debate. I'm with AT&T right now and I'd rather not have to switch to T-mobile just to get the android but also there's no word on when AT&T will be getting the Touch Pro, so I'm stuck

I've had Sprint for like 5 years all over Raleigh and had very few reception issues. Data is great as well.

^ thanks, anyone else able to comment on Sprint? I ask again b/c there seem to be some on here who really knock Sprint. df, not the same phone.. similar but their now the same. If I want to learn about a Playstation 3 I don't search for PS2 on here...

sprint data is awsome but, the diamond is way to laggy and I cant type on the touch screen... I just returned mine

^ so, what phone are you going to roll with on Sprint? Did you have the latest firm update? I've heard it helped tremendously with lag is why I ask.

I went back to my centro, the centro browser sucks but, for email, txt messages, and phone calls its great. I got the phone on Sep 18th and did not upgrade the firmware. I would make sure u can type on a touch screen because I definitely could not.
