#1 vs #5

Neutral Field as always

Bradford vs. McCoy

49 pts/game vs 47 pts/game

Bob Stoops 6-3 vs Mack Brown

Bob Stoops 3-0 when both teams are ranked in top 5

The winner almost certainly will lock up a spot in big 12 title game

which almost certainly means BCS National Semi-final

Everybody is talking Oklahoma is the team to beat but......

Why do I have an eerie feeling inside that Texas is going to win????

Mizzou can beat either one of these teams. They won't be favored, but they can beat them...

1) Vince Young isn't QBing for Texas, meaning OK wins

2)Both teams average over 45/game, so that, of course, means the under will hit.

If Granger and Alexander are back and McCoy is at full strength for OU, I don't even think this one is close.

You know that they've revamped the Cotton Bowl and it's now much bigger than before right? Rather than looking similar to C-F with a full bowl in the bottom and two upper decks on each side with one having the press box, it now has the two upper decks connected. The 76-year old stadium will now seat over 92,100. This was all part of a $57 million renovation by the city of Dallas to keep the Sooners and Longhorns playing there.

Renovated tunnel entrance leading to the field.

I love Brass Monkey

If we were talking about a porno he'd be more focused on what kind of bedposts they had as opposed to the action in the bed itself

Nah I love porno. Gianna Michaels is hot. She's not the most in shape girl, but she's got it going on everywhere. Nice large rack. Round behind. Sassy personality. Also I love Lily Thai.

I believe everyone is underestimating the defense of the Longhorns!!

Will Muschamp is running that Defense for the Longhorns and his resume is pretty badass

National Championship at LSU (2003)

2nd in NFL in sacks with Dolphins Defense (2005)

Auburn's D ranked 7th and 6th nationally in total Defense (2006, 2007)

I'll take Big 12 football over ACC, PAC 10, hell any conference besides the SEC any day.

Big 12 is the 2nd best conference behind SEC....

They actually have QBs in that league.

Seriously, how can anyone call the Big 12 overrated right now?

That's nuts. Mizzou, OU and Texas are all legitimate title contenders. Kansas is probably the 5th or 6th best team in the conference and they returned pretty much everyone from their beating of Va Tech in the Orangel Bowl...

That conference is definitely second best behind the SEC... and there is no conference really even close to those two this year..

^ agreed.

If the Big 12 had any depth, they could challenge the SEC as the top conference.

ACC, Big East, Big 10, and PAC-10 are all having down years.

It's hard to see Baylor or Iowa State ever being a top 10 team, but Nebraska and Colorado have a damn good chance in the coming years. CU and Nebraska's recruiting is back to where it was in the late 90's.

^^ I think it's going to happen soon. Miami is recruiting well and if they can just stay out of their own way they could end up being good down the line. NCSU will likely become better as TOB gets more of his players in, and Glennon and Wilson will most likely be very good in the coming years. Duke is already better than they have been, which isn't really saying much. GT will be doing well in the future provided Paul Johnson can continue to recruit the mobile offensive linemen he needs and inherited at GT. Once VT gets some experience to help out Tyrod Taylor they will be as good as they were when Michael Vick was there. I'm scared to think how good Clemson could be if they got rid of Tammy and actually got a good coach in there. Wake is now cruising b/c they've got plenty of experience 3rd, 4th, and 5th year players ready to step in and play. Also Wake's recruiting has been better recently. UMD and UVA need to dump Friedgen and Groh b/c they won't be able to accomplish much more than mediocrity with them. I think those are the next two coaches to go.

Give the ACC 2 more years and I think the landscape will look vastly different.

^ UNC has to win out and VT has to lose twice for UNC to make it to the ACC Championship game. Neither is likely to happen.

Seriously though this game will be awesome, but why the hell are they playing it at noon (11 am in Dallas)? That's stupid. It should at least be a 3:30 start, even though a night game is preferred. Oh well the fact that the Cotton Bowl now seats 92,000+ people is going to make for one great atmosphere. It was already one of the best for such a neutral site rivalry game. Now there are more people and their are seats that are close to the field. Before the stands staggered away from the field, similar to how the stands at Groves Stadium, Lane Stadium, and even Carter-Finley to an extent are. You can see in the picture that I posted above where the front of old stands have been added onto.

Texas and Oklahoma fans have an extremely deep hatred for one another. I don't think the Dallas police wants people drinking for 6 hours before game time, during game time, and a couple hours after. These fans literally rip rival fans balls off. If they can at least curtail pregame drinking a little, their will be several less stabbings, broken beer bottle fights, BBQ's thrown, etc.

I, for one, am against testicle tugging.

Quote :
"According to police, 32-year-old Texas fan Brian Christopher Thomas walked into Henry Hudson's Pub on June 17 wearing a Longhorns T-shirt and quickly became the focus of football "trash talk" from another regular, 53-year-old Oklahoma fan Allen Michael Beckett.

Thomas told police that when he decided to leave and went to the bar to pay his tab, Beckett grabbed him in the crotch, pulled him to the ground and wouldn't let go, even as bar patrons tried to break it up. When the two men were separated, Thomas looked down and realized the extent of his injuries.

"He could see both of his testicles hanging on the outside of his body," said Thomas' attorney, Carl Hughes. "He was wearing a pair of white shorts, which made it that much worse.""

is anyone else getting shitty sound quality out of ABC on TWC for this game? it sounds like the announcers are 12 year olds wearing Darth Vader masks and the crowd sounds like they are yelling from inside a jar. commercials are fine, no surprise there. they've been shoving this game at us all week and can't get the damn sound right.

watching games like this makes me realize just how far NC State was from ever competing on the national landscape.

Even our best teams had only ~5-8 players who could start on these teams...
