Why the gloves in the movie? It'd suck if that went off in your pocket or jacket though.
10/1/2008 12:18:15 AM
no fingerprints.
10/1/2008 12:24:12 AM
this is a serious question, because that's a pretty nice knife, but what is the law in NC surrounding something like that?Like if I got pulled over for speeding, and a cop saw that, what would I be looking at?Keep in mind, i'm brown-skinned [Edited on October 1, 2008 at 12:29 AM. Reason : ]

Confiscation and a ticket.[Edited on October 1, 2008 at 12:30 AM. Reason : Oh, in that case, a beating and the magical appearance of a crack rock in your right pocket.]

I too have a sweet benchmade to sell.
10/1/2008 12:18:19 PM
their price is b/c regular people can't carry it.it's special.
10/1/2008 12:51:19 PM
as far as nice auto's go, thats nothing. look up a microtech for example, if you can find one. or a custom butch vallotton.
10/1/2008 1:43:31 PM
10/1/2008 8:30:23 PM
just get an "assisted-open" setup--something like a kershaw black-out
10/1/2008 8:53:56 PM
You're right, it's not a projectile knife. At one time, the NC statutes specifically banned "switchblade" knives, but I guess that's been removed. However, according to(updated Dec 2007):[link]http://74.125.45.104/search?q=cache:ZwMyUo2n2HYJ:http://www.jus.state.nc.us/NCJA/ncfirearmslaws.pdf+nc+switchblade+law&hl=en&ct=clnk&cd=5&gl=us&client=firefox-a[/link]

there are some that complain (more like bitch) that the spring action is weak.it's a safety feature, a la skack.
10/2/2008 4:00:13 AM
$300?! At least I'd imagine it actually works for that price, but you never know. This is why I love Ka-Bar, their shit is awesome and it costs VERY little. I love my TDI and my Dozier Drop Point Folding Hunter. The latter is a $20 knife designed by Bob Dozier. The shit is excellent and the blade is quality and comes very sharp and it sharpens up quite nicely. It's a serious knife, I wouldn't want to be stabbed or sliced with it. I carry one or the other with me everywhere I go. http://www.midwayusa.com/eproductpage.exe/showproduct?saleitemid=318864With the TDI, I have a few options as to how I carry it. I have the ankle holster, which is useful if I'm already carrying other weapons in my pockets. Otherwise I remove the belt loops from the sheath and It can easily be hung from a chain or I can just keep it in my pocket since I can easily get the sheath off one handed using just my thumb. Now I need an M9 bayonet for my Mossberg 590.So, where can you get a knife like this locally? I was looking and Benchmade will not ship these here if you aren't LEO or Military from what I can tell.[Edited on October 2, 2008 at 7:12 AM. Reason : ]
10/2/2008 7:03:18 AM
i heard you can get one from seotaji
10/2/2008 12:40:03 PM
I'll throw in a juicer and a magic chopper to the first 300 callers.THATS NOT ALL!and a potato.
10/2/2008 12:52:24 PM
^^ Seriously, where can you purchase these? Do regular gun stores carry them? I can't imagine they do, but you never know.
10/2/2008 7:14:18 PM
maybe some type of store that specializes in LEO equipment/weapons/etc.probably best to just order one
10/2/2008 7:38:59 PM
They are legal to OWN! illegal to carry unless a first responder. You are allowed to purchase it then carry it home. After that it is illegal to carry it outside your own property unless to sell. Looking to purchase one new try davis guns near Rt 1. they have them and other automatic, assisted opening and regular folders along with fixed blades.
10/2/2008 7:46:13 PM
^^^Davi's has a couple in stock, I think. and some other nice OTF and regular auto's.
10/2/2008 8:13:15 PM
what's the point of owning this shit?to show off what an internet badass you are?
10/2/2008 10:22:51 PM
^ For the same reason you'd own any other weapon, of course it's to be an internet badass. As far as Davi's, I refuse to shop there so that's out. Where can I order one online? Benchmade doesn't seem to want to ship it to anyone outside of Oregon unless they're LEO or Military.[Edited on October 2, 2008 at 10:54 PM. Reason : ]
10/2/2008 10:54:43 PM
^ hey man, why dont you finally lemme get that 7.62x54r ammo so you can offset the cost of one of these knives.
10/2/2008 11:48:01 PM
so what's the consensus on the legality of this? Can buy but not carry?
10/3/2008 12:37:21 AM
^^^get it shipped to a friend in oregon and have them ship it here
10/3/2008 7:19:11 AM
10/3/2008 10:52:17 AM
is there an echo in here?

lol its a knife people go see a psychiatrist
10/5/2008 11:20:51 PM
I thought this was the knife that blasted a ball of CO2 inside your victim's guts.
10/6/2008 12:16:49 AM
^the irony is that I think it's "more legal" to carry one of those than one of these.
10/6/2008 1:11:34 AM
10/10/2008 3:48:38 AM
Hey, do you have to have a military or law enforcement ID to buy OTF's at davi's?
