one of the best albums of all time period. Has punk and just about every other single genre of music on it: rock, gospel, dub, ragga, reggae, pop, etc.
9/30/2008 10:24:08 PM
i refuse to believe anyone has ever sat down and listened to sandinista in its entirety.
9/30/2008 11:41:41 PM
did it during a road trip
9/30/2008 11:42:17 PM
Minor Threat Black Flag is up there too, dunno what album tho
9/30/2008 11:49:53 PM
^^^ what? several times^^ yup, great for trips. Most talented band ever? I mean, they could have picked probably 6 or 7 styles of music and been one of the best bands in that style if they wanted to
9/30/2008 11:57:06 PM
the Clash was so punk because they went punk against punk
10/1/2008 12:00:26 AM
that is true...[Edited on October 1, 2008 at 12:03 AM. Reason : d]
10/1/2008 12:00:58 AM
^^^ a lot of bands could do that they just dont end up doing it. but yes the clash were good of course.
10/1/2008 12:07:58 AM
I dont know about a "lot"and I wasnt talking just about physically being able to play the music, thats the easy part
10/1/2008 12:13:16 AM

This thread isn't "punk as you can best describe it from being 22 years-old."[Edited on October 1, 2008 at 2:11 AM. Reason : s]

^ haha^^^ love Wipers

i dont think its the best but rattus norvegicieus by the stranglers is pretty kickass
10/1/2008 11:26:17 PM
I have a problem picking a "best" out of all the punk albums I listen to. Like, I like the Undertones album a lot, I love the Buzzcocks, I'll listen to London Calling and Give Em Enough Rope every now and again, but I can't single out any one of those, or others I didn't listen due to pointlessness...
10/2/2008 2:08:21 AM
Specter really lost this thread.
10/2/2008 11:44:37 AM
yeah, he failed pretty hard
10/2/2008 12:24:39 PM
It depends on your definition of Punk I guess, because a lot of this looks like pop, hardcore, ska, etc to me.Classics for me are...Misfits - Legacy Of BrutalityExploited - Punks Not DeadDead Milkmen - Big LizzardDead Kennedys - In God We TrustAdolescents - Balboa Fun ZoneDI - Horse Bites, Dog CriesCircle Jerks - Group SexSocial Distortion - S/TSuicidal Tendencies - S/TRamones - Too Tough To Dieetc
10/2/2008 12:27:21 PM
I agree with the X album. They are fucking amazing.CHECK THIS SHIT OUT IF YOU LIKE ITbest box set ever
10/2/2008 11:47:50 PM
that no thanks box set is perfect for anyone with a little bit of interest in late 70s-early 80s punk. it doesn't go much deeper than the big guns, but it doesn't really need to. tons of essential jams on there.
10/3/2008 1:45:08 AM
another vote for Misfits - Legacy Of Brutality
10/3/2008 9:36:32 AM
<3Static Age and Legacy are so close to being the same album...but American Nightmare just clenches it. Plus I have been listening to Legacy for 22 years now...and it still moves me the same way....that is hard to do.
10/3/2008 10:05:15 AM
how has this not been mentioned??!!
