The first exam is coming up. Anybody have Wu before and still have his old tests? Monetary compensation could be applicable if willing to make a copy. What type of format do the exam's follow? Any help is appreciated. Hit me up with a PM.

I had him for my dynamics class. He was an awful teacher (the TA saved my ass in that class...). His tests were pretty standard though. You should look up this dude Paul Cousins though, I think I saw him talking about some old tests he had for that class.

how does this cheapen your degree? i shouldn't be able to ask how someone formats there test? most prof's don't use the same exams so how would using an old exam matter?

So, all flaming aside,His first test is tomorrow, I've been studying, but am still unclear on how the test will be....Anyone have any helpful advice specifically pertaining to Wu's MAE435 tests?

Do the homework till your confident enough to answer those questions if they are on the test. He never gives (as far as I can remember) homework questions on the test, but he usually have problems similar. I don't remember how many questions he would ask, he probably mentioned that in class as well as the areas to study, but if you can do the homework fine, you shouldn't have a problem.Good luck

so now that the exam is over.... how's the curve in this class? should i stick it out or just drop it and plan to take it next semester? i don't know how i did but don't feel very confident.

^^,^^^,^^^^lolz. good memories. His minus was a little more pronounced from my memory. Like he got louder at the beginning of the word everytime he said it.like MInurs

^^^^^A bunch of my friends dropped it and took Buckner's class instead the next semester...idk how that will affect you graduating on time or not if you did that...from what I heard, they were able to understand Contols much better with Buckner and his notes are fill in the blank notes unlike Wu's where u sometimes can't read his writing
10/8/2008 1:02:43 PM
I was one of those guys^ Buckner FTW
10/8/2008 1:15:53 PM
^Me as well. In Buckner's class you actually get to do a "real" project in the controls lab, which may or may not be a plus for you.

using old tests as study aids is ethical, IMO
