i'm surprised this hasn't been made yet. personally, vote mccrory!
9/26/2008 10:52:36 PM
I think I'll vote for McCrory. He knows what's up in regards to education.
9/26/2008 10:55:24 PM
I don't think it will happen, but NC has a chance to vote for a Democrat for president and elect a Republican for governor, that hasn't happened... well, I don't think that has ever happened.
9/26/2008 11:00:06 PM
i hope ^ happens

go mccrory
10/22/2008 8:41:18 AM
From what I've seen (and I haven't followed it closely), Purdue seems like a cunt, and McCrory seems like a pretty honest guy who is, at the least, running a fair campaign. I'm going to read up some more, but that will likely be one Republican on my ballot
10/22/2008 8:53:39 AM
Perdue's dishonest ads have disqualified her from my vote. I'm voting Munger.
10/22/2008 8:59:01 AM
I'm votin' for McCrory.
10/22/2008 9:00:29 AM
Honestly, I feel like McCrory might be an up and coming bright politician. Charlotte's not perfect, but it's been doing very well for itself, bank closings aside. I'd rather give this guy a chance than possibly hinder his career due to partisan blinders. Plus his main goal seems like it would be economic growth, something the state will need as much as possible in the coming years.
10/22/2008 9:07:29 AM
I'm most interested in the outcome of this race tonight, and perhaps the senate results.
11/4/2008 3:50:04 PM
I don't know how people can vote for Bev Perdue if they watched the debate between the three candidates. Munger did an outstanding job, but both he and McCrory made Perdue look like an idiot.
11/4/2008 4:00:22 PM
I'm surprised there's such a consensus. [Edited on November 4, 2008 at 4:00 PM. Reason : ]
11/4/2008 4:00:23 PM
i voted for mccrory
11/4/2008 4:02:05 PM
well I felt some loyalty to Perdue since I worked as a governor's page under her in 10th grade but I'll be voting McCrory anyways
11/4/2008 4:21:20 PM
I'm guessing she didn't go all Mark Foley on you, then?
11/4/2008 4:27:22 PM
i voted mccrory. unfortunately it looks like bev is up in the polls.
11/4/2008 4:36:32 PM
Voted for Munger. If he weren't anti-healthcare, I think he would be the perfect governor. Of course there's no way he'll get elected. However, if the Libertarian party can get enough votes, then maybe mainstream candidates will start having to address the issues instead of mudslinging and kissing babies.
11/4/2008 4:47:09 PM
This was probably the hardest choice for me to make. I could not find either candidate's position on sea walls but the thing that tipped the scales was from their websites. McCrory: "Policy Statement: Energy"Perdue: "Environment and Energy"And after reading through McCrory's pitch I found the same greenwashing schemes that Republicans and polluters like to push without any regard for intelligent sustainability. I think that Perdue's flip-flopping over offshore drilling is repulsive but since McCrory is far more likely to actually go through with it I had to stick to Bev.
11/4/2008 4:50:24 PM
vote for mccroy, I have few clients that know him personally they talk like its a upright honest guy... and they are hardcore dems.
11/4/2008 5:27:38 PM
voted for munger
11/4/2008 5:46:21 PM
I was very happy to vote for Pat McCrory. Charlotte seems to be doing very well compared to much of the country, and it's nice to finally see a Republican in a state election that doesn't make me want to vomit in shame.
11/4/2008 5:46:59 PM
mccrory, wow if bev perdue is our governor, i am leaving the state as soon as i graduate in december
11/4/2008 5:49:34 PM
11/4/2008 5:51:17 PM
^its bc she is lol
11/4/2008 5:54:42 PM
i voted for McCrory.. Perdue doesn't strike me as very sincere.
11/4/2008 6:20:52 PM
Gov. Bev Purdue just doesnt sound right
11/4/2008 6:30:11 PM
McCrory; the guys been mayor of Charlotte since I was still in grade school. Good guy, met him on a few occasions.
11/4/2008 6:47:16 PM
McCrory must win - it would be great for the stateBalack Obama would be offset.
11/4/2008 6:53:42 PM
Perdue is better on education & gay rights, she had my vote.
11/4/2008 7:34:42 PM
11/4/2008 7:36:40 PM
perdue is a turbocunt
11/4/2008 7:38:20 PM
Definitely voted McCrory. Wanted to go Munger but I felt like Perdue needed to be kept out of office.
11/4/2008 7:39:26 PM
i voted for Perdue because:1) Charlotte is a shitty fucking town2) I hated all of the McCrory people on the brickyard3) I am a Democrat4) I don't want a NY/NJ landfill in my state
11/4/2008 7:40:12 PM
In a debate after McCrory was harping on the need for a strong shift to vocational education, Perdue followed up by saying there is a place for vocational education & community colleges, but you need a focus on 4 year colleges & universities with a focus on broad education because that is how you prepare for the jobs of the future. She asked who would have thought a decade or two ago we should be vocationally training webmasters, to make her point that broad education is the only way to train innovation and for the jobs of the future. And my mother being a public school teacher for who whole life, who has taught across NC, who retired & went back to work even more, when she says Perdue is the better person on education, I believe her.
11/4/2008 7:43:14 PM
education is really not that big of an issue in this electionits 90% about the economy
11/4/2008 7:46:04 PM
Your mom's not been in the educational shit, maaaannnn.I've taught in mother-effing Fayettenam, and McCrory is better on education. But seriously. Perdue's the "everyone is going to college" type. These people need to stop winning elections.[Edited on November 4, 2008 at 7:47 PM. Reason : ]
11/4/2008 7:47:01 PM
& I don't want a gov who will strongly oppose our new president's initiatives
11/4/2008 7:47:37 PM
so you want a singular party rule? good idea, lets just get rid of the legislative and judicial branch and let the president rule as supreme dictatordivided government works
11/4/2008 7:49:04 PM
11/4/2008 7:50:12 PM
at least we got the lottery which will help pay for some of this "everyone goes to college" through a tax on the stupid
11/4/2008 7:55:02 PM
Voted for McCrory, and given my dislike for Perdue she's a shoe-in
11/4/2008 7:58:44 PM
hahaPerdue's up in Charlotte
11/4/2008 9:11:39 PM
this is much worse than OSAMA winning
11/4/2008 9:14:17 PM
Go Munger!
11/4/2008 9:14:19 PM
I voted Munger, because I do believe in supporting the third party and increasing their chances at getting on the ballot for more races and I have no confidence in either Purdue or McCrory
11/4/2008 9:17:17 PM
Oooh shit, I wrote in "Manger" because I thought those ads I got in the mail were alluding to the second coming of baby jebus.
11/4/2008 9:17:56 PM
I could be wrong, but I just don't think I can support a governor who may have been sprayed with Joker gas.
11/4/2008 9:32:12 PM
Bev Perdue!!! Better for Education, Better for North Carolina.
11/4/2008 9:57:40 PM
^^ How could you not support The Joker?!
