We need Irving for this game more than any we've played so far because of USF's read option that they employ with their QB Grothe. Hopefully Maddox can catch on quick and not get out of position, otherwise we might have a hard time slowing down their offense.

I have heard from football sources on campus that Wilson's injury is now not as bad as it was first thought, and that there is an outside chance that he will be able to play on Saturday

I actually don't believe that O'Brien said that bullshit. Why would he go out on a limb to talk shit about the 13th ranked team in the country when we can barely field a 2 deep and our best players get injured every week? He wouldnt.


The reason I say that is because it was mentioned that the quote originally came from a USF website or news paper (maybe a tampa paper who knows) and the interview and direct link was never given. I have yet to read the quote from any of his interviews published by PP or the NandBlow....or any other NC paper.


And dont you think our friends over at the N&O would be all over a dumbass comment like this from O'Brien?
