My dad wants to go to a game eventually, and I'm thinking my mom and/or older sister would want to come as well if he did. What have you people done when you bring family to the game? Do guest tickets have to stay in the student section?

Dad comes and tailgates with my group, and sits in the student section with me every year since I was a freshman.

^ It's not a problem if your family isn't full of prudes. I took my parents to basketball games in the student section all the time; they knew what to expect and weren't offended. My mom wasn't necessarily thrilled with all the cursing, but she used to own an auto parts store and it didn't phase her.

My dad gets really into sports and so when my mom started taking night classes a few years ago at UNCC to finish her graduate degree for nursing, my dad took some night classes to get his masters in English - mainly so he could get student tickets to basketball games

My dad had a blast sitting with all NC State students at the Gator Bowl in 02-03. Some dude was leading blatant chants full of cursing and my dad was singing right along. It was a good time.

My mom would just wonder why everyone stood on the bleachers and not the concrete in front of them.

yeah, my pop rolled in the student section one game every year. He absolutely loved it (can commented on how bad kenan can be - he went to unc and has season tickets there).
