9/21/2008 9:27:51 PM
sheesh...sorry...i really did think it deserved its own thread as i wouldnt be surprised if he gives up other states in the futureidk what states john mccain aint fighting for...i guess like alabama or something?
9/21/2008 9:31:07 PM
^ but i 100% guarantee you won't think i deserved a thread for my latest. "alabama or something" fucking ridiculous. lol[Edited on September 21, 2008 at 9:33 PM. Reason : b]
9/21/2008 9:33:27 PM
iirc, obama was touting some 50 state strategy etc, mccain wasn't

iirc, obama was touting some 50 54 state strategy etc, mccain wasn't

iirc, obama was touting some muslim christian[corrected onsite by reporter] religion strategy etc, mccain wasn't

Obama wasn't exactly taking on a "50 state strategy," but he does hope to turn a lot of red states blue and when by an impressive margin that gives him a clear mandate.
9/22/2008 2:58:04 AM
so obama gives up on one of the states with the lowest percentages of african american population in the US....why is this news?I really hope you didnt put a lot of time and effort into this discovery.....[Edited on September 22, 2008 at 3:27 AM. Reason : ...]

Even pulling paid staff out of a state at this point won't be completely giving up on the state given the ground game and volunteer base that has already been coordinated in the state. On a semi-related note I read yesterday that both McCain & Obama are shifting more resources into North Carolina.
9/22/2008 6:51:30 AM
all states
9/22/2008 7:10:08 AM
9/22/2008 12:24:46 PM
http://news.yahoo.com/s/ap/20081002/ap_on_el_pr/mccainadd alaska and georgia to the list
10/2/2008 8:03:39 PM
So it seems NC might actually be competitive this time.I might ought to register to vote after all.
10/3/2008 1:20:42 AM
McCain's pulled out of Michigan, btw.
10/3/2008 9:19:31 AM
tucker bounds said hes given up on montana yesterday...he had made inroads but i guess he figured he wouldnt win in it
10/4/2008 1:36:47 PM
i mis read the thread title as "official Obama is giving up" and i got happy for a second
10/4/2008 3:04:00 PM
The portion of Obama's campaign he doesn't have to pay for ( the mainstream media) is calling NC a battleground state, but they can't actually believe that. Of course, if he wants to waste money here and it helps him lose, that's a good thing.
10/4/2008 4:47:03 PM
some things i wonder/think sometimes:-is the media inflating obamas numbers so that when he loses they can all be like omg wtf how did he lose/there are too many racists-back when it was close, was the media trying to make it close just so that all the negros etc were like oh shit we def need to vote(making sure every person thought they had to vote)-its gonna be the shit if mccain wins the electoral vote and obama wins the popular vote...in that situation, my dream scenario is mccain winning by like 5 electoral votes and obama winning by like 7-10 million votes
10/4/2008 5:32:32 PM
Obama pulled out of your mom.
10/4/2008 5:33:39 PM
^^That last scenario is called "free TV time".
10/4/2008 5:40:45 PM
Que?
10/4/2008 5:44:06 PM
10/4/2008 5:54:36 PM
I thought that a smaller portion of the people in this state were smart enough not to vote for a socialist who is buddies with William Ayers.
10/4/2008 6:07:40 PM
honestly i'm just glad that socialist president we have now is about to go
10/4/2008 6:38:12 PM
his spending is a disgrace to conservatives everywhere, but Obama's would be worse.
10/4/2008 9:36:28 PM
I'm going to laugh if Obama ends up winning NC.
10/4/2008 9:42:54 PM
10/4/2008 10:40:19 PM
^ definitely. its like some Republicans don't get it.
10/6/2008 7:18:20 PM
dnl, you do realize that you are supporting someone far more socialist than dubya, right?
10/6/2008 7:25:01 PM
McCain may have voted for legislation that is too far left, but Obama's whole philosophy is socialism.
10/6/2008 8:30:52 PM
I don't want to get my hopes up too much for NC, but check out that crowd at 1:14 ]
10/6/2008 9:14:59 PM
^ Like 30k people showed up for that, 6k couldn't even get in the stadium.30k is like half the pop. of asheville
10/6/2008 9:40:04 PM
we are talking about asheville here. don't get your hopes up thinking it's like the rest of the state. it's as liberal there as it is in the People's Republic of Chapel Hill.

10/18/2008 4:18:44 PM
he's going to have to give up on all the states when he loses
10/18/2008 4:23:03 PM
