I got a 17" samsung flatscreen and it has been working fine but this morning when I went to turn my computer on, nothing comes up on the screen. There's power and the monitor does pick up the signal from the video card but it just doesnt have anything on the screen. Does anyone have any ideas on what I can try or where I can take it. I've also tried this monitor with another computer and it does the same thing.

have you tried using another monitor on the computer? Are you sure it's the LCD that won't display or that you might have a video card problem? Also, check the video cable to make sure both ends are securely on. If nothing yields, then try replacing the cable. I've had both VGA and DVI cables go bad on me, usually the cheapo cables that are supplied with the monitors. Look at borrowing or using another cable on hand before going out and buying one.

If the LCD is truly crapped out, best time to upgrade now. You can get 20"-24" for 150-400 now days.
