This has got to be one of my favorite matchups every year! The past four games between these teams have been decided by six points or less. LSU has scored only 12 points in its last two visits to Jordan-Hare Stadium, and has not beaten Auburn on its home turf since 1998. Homefield advantage is a huge factor in this series. With both teams struggling to find a quarterback, this is definitely going to be a defensive battle. I'd like to see more out of Kodi Burns at QB instead of Todd for Auburn personally. I thought Burns had a good showing at the Peach Bowl against Clemson last year, and could run the fast-paced spread offense well. Todd is showing some promise with the deeper passes, but still makes a lot of mistakes throwing into coverage. LSU has played no one this year worth mentioning. Sorry App. State fans. Will they be up for Auburn? What are your thoughts/predictions? WAR DAMN EAGLEGametime is 7:45 ET on ESPN (HD)

Lets hope this is a better game than the bloody, messy abortion that Auburn played last week.I heard they won on PKs...

I saw ESPN Classic had the Miss. State vs. Auburn game as an Instant Classic all week. I was like...what the heck?? A 3-2 "football" game does not = Classic unless it's Manchester United vs. Arsenal.[Edited on September 19, 2008 at 3:18 PM. Reason : .]

^^ Auburn has played Louisiana-Monroe, Southern Miss, and Mississippi State. Much tougher than what LSU had against App State and North Texas. Granted, LSU did put up 82 points in those two games combined.
