Check the NADA values. The Honda has been completely rebuilt...it'll run to 500k, just like every other Honda out there that's taken care of. Thanks.

wow, you went to college just to be a used car salesman?
9/15/2008 4:37:39 PM
^^ so motor and tranny mounts, bushings, struts, springs, shocks, steering rack, brake rotors and calipers/drums, and seals have been R&R with new parts? (On top of a full motor and transmission rebuild, which I wont begin to break down the wear and tear components of those)... Not to rag on you, just to say that one person's definition of "completely rebuilt" varies from another... And btw, I checked both chrome carbook and NADA for the value for a 1989 Honda Accord Sedan 4D LX with 168k miles, which is $1,725.00. Also, NADA only goes back to 1989, so I couldn't even look up a 1986 (which would be lower just by a hair I'm sure). Just saying... [Edited on September 15, 2008 at 4:49 PM. Reason : .]

Yep,I got three degrees from State, in fact. Almost a PhD as number 4 (On leave of absence).Hey, stop the bullshit posts and start making me some reasonable offers and we can make things happen. Not a used car salesman...I'm a friend of one, and am just helping move some stock to make room for more vehicles. Note that the values stated take financing, haggling, and all the other fun stuff that goes along with car buying, into account. Seriously, if you don't see something you like, shoot me a description/price-point and we very well may be able to find it. Again, all prices are negotiable within reason.Oh yeah, and thanks for all the bumps to the top!!!***As for the Honda, the engine has been totally rebuilt, not the entire car....brain...else, I'd have listed it as a NEW CAR.NADA.com goes far enough back...http://www.nadaguides.com/default.aspx?LI=1-22-1-5013-0-0-0&l=1&w=22&p=1&f=5014&y=1986&m=1195&d=581&c=14&vi=95409&z=27278&da=-1$2,375 is the average retail price for the Honda. Please don't post bullshit numbers in the thread if you aren't smart enough to use a website to find the value of a car. And, clearly you picked the low retail value....if the car didn't have doors, or ran about half the time, maybe you'd be spot on. Good luck with your search for your perfect vehicle, bud. I bet you can find at least one car to steal on campus. Thanks to all the rest of you, and hope that this clears up some of the discrepencies between prices listed by someone with decades in the industry versus some student's take on what he/she should do to waste away a beautiful Monday afternoon. Ok, look forward to seeing you at the lot![Edited on September 15, 2008 at 6:47 PM. Reason : ^^]

^ um, I didn't... I'd do a screen shot of the years, but I'm sure you'd accuse me of photoshop. So here, see yourself:http://www.nadaguides.com/usedcars.aspx?LI=1-21-1-5005-0-0-0&l=1&w=21&p=1&f=5006&c=16&z=27278&m=1195&da=-1And for the record, I didn't pick the low retail value. I picked the "clean retail value" as seen here:http://www.nadaguides.com/usedcars.aspx?LI=1-21-1-5013-0-0-0&l=1&w=21&p=1&f=5014&y=1989&m=1195&d=581&c=16&mi=168000&vi=8006&z=27278&da=-1[edit] I see you went under classic cars, so that's where our discrepancies lie. Although I don't see how a car 3 years older has $1k more value, I think that's NADA being stupid [Edited on September 15, 2008 at 9:49 PM. Reason : d'oh]
