Give them some respect. Better than we are right now.
9/7/2008 9:55:01 PM
Southern Cal is a private school, that dominates in a BCS conference, completely irrelevant.
9/7/2008 9:56:01 PM
they are most likely going to run all over us in 2 weeks, i wont be surprisedbut if we somehow pull it off, none of the EZU fans will be posting here

ballindefinitely going to the ecu/state game in 2 weeksI think I'll wear my red initially then rip that shit off to reveal my purple painted chest once the game startsFreshman class of 03-04 in the fucking house
9/7/2008 10:20:48 PM
^ don't dirty the red shirt with the paint, just go ahead and go all out ecu.[Edited on September 7, 2008 at 10:27 PM. Reason : .]

wear your nwo shirt
9/7/2008 10:28:11 PM
^^^ would you have done that had ECU not won the past two weeks? if not, then don't do it now.
9/7/2008 10:37:54 PM
to give him credit, he showed much interest in the ECU score before the VT game was close to being over while we were in NY at espn zone
9/7/2008 10:39:32 PM
We are going to butt rape ECU. Then, we are going to butt rape Wisconsin for no reason whatsoever.
9/7/2008 10:41:19 PM
to seriously think state will defeat ECU with any authority is the most retarded prediction ever to happen by a fan
9/7/2008 10:42:51 PM
oh i don't care if he's an ECU fan, but IMO you should pull for your team all the time. if your team is ECU, that's great. actually i'm glad to see a NC team playing well. but to pull for state sometimes and then pull for ECU because they are playing well, that just reminds me of some fans from a few miles west also, i hate it when "state fans" say they pull for ncsu during football season and duke/unc/etc. during bball season. but thats another topic. Have you ever heard Lou Holtz talk about Notre Dame?I don't really see him going to Clemson. Maybe Miss St., Notre Dame, or South Carolina.
9/8/2008 9:56:07 AM
ECU might have skip for another year at most. Just how it goes. Until then, I'm just going to enjoy the ride
9/8/2008 10:01:38 AM
ECU will finish the year undefeated08/30/08 vs. Virginia Tech W, 27-2209/06/08 vs. West Virginia W, 24-309/13/08 at Tulane09/20/08 at North Carolina State Raleigh, N.C.09/27/08 vs. Houston10/11/08 at Virginia10/18/08 vs. Memphis11/02/08 at UCF11/08/08 vs. Marshall (Homecoming)11/15/08 at Southern Miss11/22/08 at UAB 11/28/08 vs. UTEP I am a Die Hard Pack Backer, but the only contest that ECU has left is UCF. Virginia and NCSU will be tough for them on the road, but I still give the Pirates the W given their performance the past two weeks. I don't think they're a fluke, not two weeks in a row. Playing the way we looked the past two weeks, ECU is liable to shut us out.
9/8/2008 10:39:32 AM
skips goal is for ecu to win CUSA, make it to a BCS bowl, of course win one, and then maybe a NC, just like any other coach. If ECU makes the steps for those things to happen, then he'd have no real reason to leave. If they keep winning like this, those things are bound to happen.
9/8/2008 10:43:08 AM
rich rod was one win over pitt away from a national title game, and left for michigan.personally i wouldn't have made that move if i were him, but i'm just saying.
9/8/2008 10:51:13 AM
9/8/2008 10:54:27 AM
oh shit i just noticed he played at notre dame. i'll bet he even has a notre dame clause in his contract.
9/8/2008 10:57:53 AM
with all that success maybe enough money would follow.I'm not saying its for sure to happen, but I think with continued success he'll at least stay a few more years. I know we all want to assume every coach is just greedy, but maybe its not the case here. Ego is one of the other big motivators, ego gained from winning and success.[Edited on September 8, 2008 at 11:02 AM. Reason : .]

ecu can't get ahead of themselves, but skip is very close to achieving what he was brought in to do. I hope he stays, but he took a horrible program and turned it around almost instantly, not to mention has everyone in the nation talking about ECU being a potential BCS Buster, which is just crazy. If the guy leaves, I can't really blame him.
9/8/2008 11:05:30 AM
^ I sure as hell wouldn't blame him for moving on. Same went for Jim Grobe when he was considering the Nebraska job. After this season, provided it finishes as well as it started, Holtz should be on every big programs' radar that has a job opening.ECU fans can and should live it up. You know we'd be doing the same if it was us listed at #14 in the country. Chronically underachieving schools need not piss on each other's parades. Not saying we have to like 'em, but shit let them enjoy their moment of glory. God knows how brief it'll be. Wasn't long ago that State was #9 in the country... ah what an epic fall into obscurity that was...In another year or two TOB should have us rolling as we'll need not worry about getting blown out by ECU (due mostly to having an "Offense" in name only). And besides, I'd much rather see ECU kicking ass than those insufferable Tarholes [Edited on September 8, 2008 at 12:35 PM. Reason : efewf]
9/8/2008 12:33:34 PM
Skip can go wherever he wants. As long as we keep Greg Hudson.
9/8/2008 1:05:29 PM
lol maybe if they hire him as head coach.otherwise, skip holtz and greg hudson are a package.
9/8/2008 1:13:12 PM
how is ECU so much better this year than last? They lost one of their best players ever, and somehow got a lot better? I dunno, I'm really surprised they held WVU down like that, but I'm still not 100% convinced on them. I'd say they end up around 10-2 and don't go to a BCS bowl.If Skip can get a good recruiting class to come in, there's no real reason to leave. They should love to build nice stuff for him, pay him, he should win that conference every year, kids should want to go there for warmer weather, girls, easy classes, parties.
9/8/2008 1:18:35 PM
ecu will never be able to compete, monetarily, w/ a bcs school while in cusa, unless some donor comes up huge. that's just how it is.why would he stay at ecu and wait for them to build something when he could go somewhere like south carolina, or clemson, or really any job opening in the country? i know what you're saying in that he has it made there, but you have to look at it from his point of view. how many coaches get a cusa team to #14 and stay? it just doesn't happen in college football.]
