i believe the novel it's based upon is set in a much earlier time period, like the 19th century or so. i think that would've worked much better.

I bought a Casanova-style mask from Sergio Boldrin while I was in Venice. He made a few of the masks for "Eyes Wide Shut," including the one I bought.http://members.aol.com/nonstopny/2000howl/boldrin.htm

I hated itI'm fucked up in the sense that I've gotten more ADD as I've gotten older, instead of the other way around with most peopleAnything as slow moving as this is impossible for me to sit through
8/27/2008 6:12:38 PM

Seriously, this movie should have won some kind of an award just for its colors and lighting.I've read a bunch of analysis about how this film is apparently about the Illuminati and their use of mind control.

^x3Every Dogme 95 flick would win an award for lighting and color, by that logic.

^^I understood perfectly. But it's not relevant. You can't just let the guy comment on how great the lighting and colors were? No, every dogme 95 movie would not win an oscar if this were the case. Just because they used natural lighting doesn't mean they did it well, and it CERTAINLY doesn't mean it had good color. Eyes Wide Shut's lighting, color, art direction, etc. beats the shit out of many if not MOST Dogme 95 films I've seen.
