Pet food drive for the Food Pantry at The SPCA of Wake CountyThe SPCA says they have seen a big increase lately in the number of pet owners surrendering their pets because they can't afford to feed them. They want to help people keep their pets, so once a month they are giving out food in their Food Pantry. First Saturday they did it they had 30 people waiting in line at 7:30 in the morning. The folks who do use the food pantry also agree to get their animal spayed or neutered. Food Drive is at the Allen Tate office in Garner at 834 Timber Drive, and they are collecting food from now until September 30. Open 9-5:30 during week, 9-5 on Saturday and 1-5 on Sunday.
