yeah the pack had a great streak of about 4 games last year

when defenses loaded up against the run, Evans made some people pay with the long ball.

ECU's secondary was horrible last year and state took advatage of that with alot of success.

State won that game all day long.

That was a pretty close game however. without that punt we let ya'll block and without that no call on the receiver pushing our guy to the ground it would have been really really close.

But thats football and I love it.

too bad ya'll don't have #80 this year. how long will he be out?

I honestly can't wait to watch your game thursday night. I think Russell Wilson will suprise the old ball coach's defense.

Plus its like the first game of the year and I'm about die without football.

someone told me the other day that EZU was a tier 4 academic institution, which apparently means that if you take all schools in the country and rank their academics, EZU is in the bottom 1/4 of all schools.


But they have a good med school. So good in fact, that 11 of 72 students from the Class of 2011 failed their first year.

I don't care if killpups isnt being an ass. He's a rival fan, he gets what he has coming to him.

I dont know if i would say that is true. i def care if we lose to them b/c it is embarassing anytime we lose to low conference school, especially one without any history (i know, you say look who is talking but even State has more fball history than ecu). the better thing to say, does anyone care if we beat them?

the one argument i always use against playing ECU is that it is a lose-lose situation

if we lose it is really embarassing and a bad loss on our schedule

if we win, who cares, it is just another game.

we already have 3 in-state opponents, so playing ecu does absolutely nothing for us whereas is our legislature didnt force us to play them, they would have no good in-state opponents.

also, i was looking at the ACC schedule today and noticed that ECU plays 3 ACC teams out of their 4 OOC games. Way to branch out ECU, you are not in the ACC and you never will be.

state has more football history than ECU? That's certainly debatable.

say what you want about ECU (and I know you will), but lets be honest, State is a NOTHING football school. Sure, you're in a better conference, but that's about it. Go anywhere outside of ACC country and nobody knows dick about State football aside from maybe Phil Rivers. In fact, I can't even count the number of people that used to tell me about how state was going to win a national championship within five years back when Phil was there, which is and was absolutely ridiculous. I'm not saying ECU is some football powerhouse by any means, but lets not go making State out to be some football factory because they're not and never will be.

they are not comparable.

1st compare number of NFL players and their salaries.
2nd compare overrall record. You have 100 less wins than Duke overall. 150 less than us.
Thirdly, you have 5 conference championships and 14 bowl appearances and as you kindly pointed out we have 11 conference championships in the ACC which is superior as far as talent and strength of schedule is concerned. We have almost won as many bowl games as you've been invited to. We are 12-10-1 in our bowl games.

You're gameday experience and atmosphere is not up to ours yet, but I will admit it is more exciting than the other NC schools.

Assuming Skip sticks around I think that the football future in Greenville is bright. I wouldn't count on it, unless the apple fell far from the tree.
