are royal enfield bikes the ones from the war that they still produce in india?

if so, they are hearty and you can repair them with bailing wire and pliers.

My uncle rebuilt one from the ground up pretty much in his garage. Then he drove it down the street at WOT with no brakes. He's hardcore/crazy like that.

I ride a bullet aka royal enfield in india and i know 3 or 4 other people that ride them, all American funny enough but the bikes suck big time
they are loud and cool looking and cheap to repair however they need to be fixed about every other time you ride them, honestly in the 3 months that i have had the bike the longest it stayed working was 1 week
but yeah still they look cool and it the largest I could get here at 500cc

i had a ural. the soviet models were junk. the ones they sell here are partially assembled in US i beleive, they might be slightly better quality. i know the brakes are upgraded to brembo discs. like anteck said

if you want the look with a bit better reliability, gor for an old Beemer. urals are basically shitty beemer clones anyhow. urals are 650 cc and look meaner than enfields
